I haven't even thought about playing on my PC since the new consoles have come out. The wide variety of games on Xbox GamePass and the upgraded frame rates of the Sony exclusives have kept me entertained.
I pre-ordered them. I needed something for my Xbox. I've been using my PC setup (Philips SHP9500s with a VModa boom) and would like to do away with these wires.
That Hivebusters DLC for Gears 5 is gorgeous on the Series X. Having an atmos soundtrack is a nice icing on top of the cake. I just fired it up to see if it were any good last night. It's probably the best looking console game I have seen. I hear it's not very long so I'll probably play through...
How about a small cloth taped above it so that the tape makes a hinge? That way it would fully cover the light but then you flip it up so that you can still use the button when needed?
After a long hiatus from PC gaming, I got back into it around when the PS4 Pro came out. I built a PC bought a ton of games on Steam. Replayed some old favorites even went to a few LAN parties. The thing was I just didn't enjoy it. I didn't like gaming at a desk. So I bought a Steam Link...
I agree with the others about this being highly subjective. To me, I would much rather have the consoles. But the added raytracing and general performance of a high end PC isn't lost on me. Sounds like you have some soul searching to do to figure out what really matters most to you.
I used to do this a lot when I had two Xbox One's. Yes, you just need to be logged into Xbox live and when you start up the game it will sync your game.
So now that the "next gen" consoles are current gen what is everyone's thoughts on them? Have you all gotten ahold of either or both? How are you liking them?
I was lucky enough to pre-order the Series X for launch day and was super lucky and was able to score a PS5 from BestBuy last week...
Some of you guys sound like you don't even enjoy playing games anymore.
This video doesn't necessarily make PC gamers want an Xbox but it should get them excited for the future. Microsoft has already committed to the PC as well as the Xbox.
When a company as big as Microsoft starts to invest...
If MMORPGs are your thing you should at least give Elderscrolls Online a chance. It's F2P so there's nothing to lose.
If you want a single player RPG experience I would recommend Witcher 3 and Fallout 4.
I don't think they are profiting off gamepass just yet. However, with currently 15million subs. Lets say they are all at the lowest price of $5 a month thats still $75,000,000 a month or $900,000,000 a year. Now lets say that is $10 a month that would be $1,800,000,000 a year. From the sounds of...
Although Gamepass is becoming a beast of a service. EA Play + all these Bethasda games + what was already considered the best deal in gaming. I'm still interested to see if M$ gets a deal done with WB as well.
I'm pretty sure Zenimax has been wanting to sell for awhile now. Of all the companies that could afford this kind of purchase, I feel like Microsoft is the best fit. If nothing else, they will still have these games on both Xbox and PC.
I am frustrated with Sony over this new console release. Remember back when a lot of people were arguing that the GDC event was only for developers and not really meant for us consumers? Yeah, about that.... Had that not happened then what would we consumers really know about the details of the...
So the latest rumors on the Xbox Series S is that it will share the same CPU as the X but with a cut down GPU. The long time rumor was a 4TFs GPU but now people are saying all kinds of different numbers. The idea is this is a 1080/1440 machine with a cut down GPU with less compute units and less...
I'm guessing Sony/naughty dog can't release it as digital only due to contracts. They probably have some deals in place because this is one of their biggest tent pole titles. Thinking as a business they probably used it as leverage in one way or another. Plus, even if that wasn't the case, the...
I like the overall design. It looks like a blend of things I like from both PS4 and Xbox One controllers. The sticks look to have a lot more texture on the edges. There's no longer the circle ridge around the DPad and face buttons. And then the sides/handles are shaped much more like an Xbox...
Depending on what Nvidia does, I could see the next gen consoles taking a bite out of the 1060 (and there abouts) consumers. A lot of people in the budget side of gaming may flip flop back to consoles. But for the guys on 2070s and up... I would think they would be more willing to double down on...
Yeah, I agree with what is being said here. Even if the new consoles are better $ to performance than PCs at launch it won't stay that way for long. The consoles have at least a 4 year lifespan and come this time next year PC parts will be FAR better than what is currently getting talked about...
I don't know about that them having the software resources. Have you used any Sony products outside of the PlayStation? Their TVs run a very stripped down Android OS. Phones, cameras, receivers, car radios.... Pretty much everything Sony makes has either a very basic UI/OS or is using someone...
I think you missed that part about the Xbox enhancements being at the system level. Also, there are already plenty of 3rd party games enhanced for the Xbox One X. So, while I totally agree with you on the PS5 doing the bare minimum in regards to BC, I don't agree with you at all about the Xbox...
I just switched out from using a Fury X. I still have it but moved to an ITX case so went with a smaller air cooled card. Fury X is still a beast though.
I suppose I shouldn't talk too definitively on the PS5 just yet. However, with what was shown and said during the presentation yesterday nothing lead me to believe that we were getting anything other than their native PS4 modes. At this point we know they will run in their "legacy modes"...
Not only is Sony limiting their backwards compatibility but it seems they are not upgrading the games in any way. They should load faster and have more stable frame rates. But if they were 30FPS on PS4 they will be 30FPS on the PS5. Same goes for resolution. From my understanding they are just...
Lets not forget Xbox also had a presentation for developers today. But they didn't stream it from their youtube channel. Instead they allowed IGN and GameSpot to stream it. It's more of a live conversation about the series X. But even this was more consumer and dev friendly compared to the mess...
I get all that.. BUT they should have done something consumer focused prior to this. However, at the same time, I feel like if this was only meant for devs they wouldn't have had to explain what an SSD is. At least not to the level of detail they did. Regardless, they knew consumers were going...
I am watching the old PS4 announcement and Sony knocked it out of the park. They showed off the controller, they showed off prototype performance using the Unreal Engine. They showed off new gameplay from Knack and the dashboard. They showed social features like the share menu and uploading...
