EVGA Caught Sampling PSUs to Reviewers Not the Same as Retail

yip, could be lying. imo, can't see why that would benefit them, just opens them up to other problems. and would be kinda odd as i'm just some random poster on their forums (i.e. why reply at all?). anyways, I've had luck with evga so i'm willing to give them more benefit of the doubt I suppose.

EVGA Caught Sampling PSUs to Reviewers Not the Same as Retail

Here's the official reply I got on the forums from EVGA: ----- “EVGA stands behind its full line of products, and the 5-Year Warranty on each B3 power supply demonstrates the confidence EVGA has in the quality and safety of each product shipped. If anyone has questions or concerns, please...

Whether to upgrade, and if so, what? Advise needed, and Dell T3500s

In respect to the X5660 - they are overclockable, so any difference between that and the W chip is easily erased; but I suspect the Dell board may not be capable? If you can overclock -- with decent cooling, you can probably get your X5660 past 4GHz (I run my X5670 at 4 GHz with a hyper 212 evo...

    Place your bets on Vega

The more I've thought about it, after initial pessimism, the new leaks etc., I've come around to expecting they'll manage to compete with the 1080ti. There will be compromises, e.g. it'll come at the expense of overclocking, TDP and cooling (and probably yield), but I figure they'll pull...

    Price war has begun....

Microcenter always has price cuts on their processors - e.g. the 7600k is only $20 cheaper now than it was beginning of the month ($219.99 on their Jan 31st ad), and the 6800k is $40 cheaper. They dropped on Feb16th to their current prices. That said, hopefully they start dropping some more...

    GPU for Warcraft @ 1920x1200, 1440?

similar to doug_7506 above, i raid on both a 980ti and 1060 6gb. i'd recommend a 1070, but 1060 does just fine. You will have to do a bit of tweaking and sacrifice some quality, unlike the 980ti/1070 which pretty much handles all ultra settings. for wow, 3gb version probably the better value...

Connecting a PC to HDTV (the proper way)

No, the ports from the mobo won't do much of anything with the GPU in there. Yes, the FuryX has 3 display ports and 1 HDMI. You'll have to get a display port to HDMI cable, or an adapter if you're currently using the HDMI port to go to a monitor. E.g...

    Safe to buy eVGA 1070's?

I like EVGA, and all my cards are EVGA... But you can definitely get better cooling from the other brands this go around. As said above there's absolutely nothing wrong with them operationally, but they're certainly not top tier. That said, their customer service still is, so it's all about what...

ASUS STRIX GTX 1060 O6G GAMING Video Card Review @ [H]

nice to see the mid-range staying so competitive:) imo it seems hard to justify the premium for a cooling solution given all the 1060s overclock similarly irregardless of the cooler (and can run <$250)... but those temperatures + OC are impressive!
