i pluggged in some cheap amazon speakers i have and they work so it must be something inherent to the speakers. ill need to remove all the wiring from the setup and make sure there are no shorts in the wires that i can detect. otherwise im not sure what else to do
thx for the replies. They are on and windows recognizes when i plug back in, it is set 2.1. Ill have to move them to another computer at some point. thats a tad of a pain bc of the wires but it seems like im stuck there. I dont see how i could use my phone with it. Im not aware of them...
I did reboot
And replaced in same hole
The subwoofer is definitely getting the signal though. It’s the correct sound for whatever is in the screen but nothing out of the two speakers
I have klipsch 2.1 setup that was working just fine until recently. I switch between using it and heaphones. The other day when i switched it back to the speakers, sound only comes out of the subwoofer and not the speakers. Drivers seem to be up to date. Any idea why?
So I actually have two of the quest 3s in my house. What are the best games to play together. Only 1 is registered so far. I assume i should create another meta account for this one as opposed to trying to add it to my first account?
I’m not too worried about a degree but just one if the better that lasts
They actually discontinued artic 5. Possibly had some issues making a consistent product.
My msi x570 tomahawk motherboard failed and is being repaired/replace. When i get it back. how necessary beneficial would it be to clean off all the old thermal paste and apply new paste?
ive kept the cpu and the cooler protected and they have the paste in place. im assuming i should remove...
Sorry I wasn’t clear
I’ll put an access point in the room. I never screwed them into the walls so easy enough to move and I have wired to every room.
So imagine the goal then is to not need WiFi for best play? How much of a difference in lag I guess is the issue and is it noticeable or just...
thanks for the response. isnt halo an example of a game that does this though?
in any event, it is what it is and ill need to work around that. In my house all computers and access points are hard wired with gigabit connections. There is the ubiquiti router which is immediately connected to...
im going to get a 3. Unfortunately it appears they try to get you to purchase your previous VR games from oculus and cant just load them onto the device if they are steam purchases. What is the best way to ensure the best wireless experience? I have all my computers hard wired with a ubiquit...
I haven’t noticed any issues with usb thumb drives that I attach to install latest drivers after reinstalling windows. I have an external usb drive I typical use to backup documents and photos that I can see how it does.
I spoke too soon
The usb-c did work great for 10 minutes. Now I’m constantly resetting the adapter and that works for 2 minutes then I’m forced to redo it
how important is it to put your finger on the chip when you remove it
Here is what ive done. I bought a new SSD 990 pro to be sure there wasnt a HD problem. I took the 5900x off the motherboard, holding it by the edges and then reinstalled it, i tried a standalone pcie 2.5gb tplink ethernet...
How does that happen on a cpu that’s pretty much bolted down for 2 years. I have liquid cooling and I had tightened that pretty good with install. My temps are very low so I wasn’t suspecting any issue there.
Thx for the additional information
The computer was stable for the last 2 years until this event.
I know the ram is quality I think crucial. Two 32 gig chips for 64 total
Not at all
Thank you for your attempts
I’m ordering a PCI network card and a usb-c network adapter.
Is it typical that the wired, wireless, and Bluetooth go out at same time? Any chance it’s indicative of other issues?
Have to decide if I want to deal with installing windows that I...
Thx for taking the time to reply
I had already tried the drivers above after reinstall. I think I didn’t do an uninstall first and will do that this weekend.
Any link for Linux live. I’m not Linux familiar so need something straightforward.
Recently I was having an issue where windows 11 wouldn’t load. It appeared to be a sata drive issue bc when I removed that drive it loaded but I was having this weird issue where the upload speed was near zero and download speed was normal near 1 gig wired. I moved the computer to a room with...
Thx for all the suggestions and sorry I wasn’t following them correctly
So when I opened it up, I found I did have a sata drive that I probably don’t have anything on but disconnected it first and it now boots
Windows now loads
It asks to check disk but seems to blow right through that...
The other drive is another ssd installed on the motherboard. I did remove anything usb (wasn’t any drives but everything except mouse and keyboard) and there are no sata connections
I have two SSDs in the system
I assume it’s always the boot one that causes the problem?
Funny I put the OS on the Samsung drive thinking it was the most trustworthy
I’ll probably get a new ssd tomorrow, install windows, get a m2 external closure and copy over the files
Thx
I have a 5900x system running windows 11 for a year now but now all of a sudden is stuck and won’t load. I just get preparing automatic repair on screen and never finishes regardless of rebooting?
No new changes prior.
using hwmonitor, my 7900x has cpu package temps around 43 when doing very little like this post and in games around 78.4. If however i run prime95, it gets to 95.5. I have a view s1 thermaltake case and using a 360 thermaltake cooler although it appears to be an older model. I understand that...
It’s for my sons. Trying to figure out if 2 is plenty or will I regret. They don’t have any ps5 games currently.
Thx for the heat sink recommendation. They charge a pretty penny for those but I’ll pick that up.
