Wanted to share my new V2 build here. The specs aren't eye popping or anything but I did make the cables myself and am pretty proud of them!
Here's an album link: https://imgur.com/a/K1FR2Dc
I got the wire wraps from ensourced.

They are meant to be installed when building the cable but you can cut a hole in them to feed the wires through. There are pictures of this on the product page.
Haha, thanks! Don't know if you have a Corsair PSU and are serious, but I already have a black/white/gray 8 pin GPU cable done and could finish out the set if you like the colors.

The fan is great, I also have an NF A15 and it performs just as well as the Noctua...
Speaking of the Asus Z370i, is anyone having the red CPU LED error light come on when cold booting? This is a problem on my Z270i and many others have noted the issue as well.
Those with custom loops in the M1: what are your temps like? I'm wondering if temps are good enough to just run one 240mm radiator with slim fans at the bottom or if adding a 92mm rad in the back would have a noticeable improvement. Thanks!
Those lengths should probably be good if your 8 pin cpu connector is in the same place as mine! I have a good bit of extra length on my cables. I would measure with a string and tape measure first just to be sure though.
And wanted to update everyone. I overclocked my 7700k to 4.9GHz. Didn't...
Thanks! Not the best, I just exported a 4k video and it hit 80 degrees under load. I'm going to delid and do a light overclock. The bottom fans are the only intakes so it's pretty choked for air.
Thanks! I saw your picture, I like what you did. Didn't think of that. Yes, the rear m.2 slot got...
I have a EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0. Same model but less black and with a backplate. On the default fan curve, my temps peaked at 76 degrees in Unigine Heaven. That's without 120mm fans at the bottom of the case.
I'm planning on doing a tempered glass side panel mod and therefore the bottom two fans will be the only intake in the case. I'm guessing a fan with a higher static pressure would be optimal for this due to the video card being right there? What kinds of fans are people using at the bottom?
I...
Hi guys, basic question. This dust filter should still work on V5 of the M1 correct? Have there been any changes to the bottom since V2 that would prevent this from working?

Did a small comparison between the be quiet! Dark Rock TF and the Noctua C14. I have a de-lidded and overclocked 4790k at 4.6GHz 1.28v. My stress test of choice is x264.
For the Dark Rock TF, I had both silentwings 135mm fans installed and the cooler installed with the large heatpipes facing...
If it's any help at all, my SF600's fan has never even turned on, even while stress testing a 4790k and 1070, both overclocked. Maybe it's broken! It does have coil whine sometimes though.
Edit: fan facing outside
Version 5 of the case comes with a filter for the side bracket (where the GPU radiator will be) as well two additional filters for the bottom. Some people buy demciflex filters but that's an extra expense plus some say fans have to work harder to pull air through them.
I would imagine the Sea Hawk to be noisier due to pump noise. I have an Accelero III on my 1070 with two NF-F12's which are controlled to be at 30% when the GPU hits 60 degrees. It hasn't even gotten that hot during gaming, only stress tests. It's very quiet!
Dark Rock TF is a nice alternative if you can get it to fit. Works great on my Gigabyte Z97N mobo. The Z170 version of the motherboard appears to have the same layout if you're looking for an 1151 board. http://imgur.com/a/NICFv
Should work just fine on a 970. Check the technical data tab on their website.

My 1070 was an ACX 3.0 model, not the founder's edition. Although that is still a reference PCB.
I thought of it on the spot and I'm glad I did.
So, on my mobo (Gigabyte Z97N-WIFI) the dark rock TF fits three ways: my current orientation (ideal), with the large heat pipes toward the back (small heat pipes rub on the first RAM stick), and with the large heat pipes facing up (fighting...
Thanks for the help guys. I changed the cooler around. I went with the large heatpipes facing the front of the case as shown in the album here:

I tried it with the aluminum caps facing the GPU as No Hands described, but I remember reading that it wasn't a preferred...
Thanks for the mounting suggestion. I'll try that at some point in the near future. I'm pretty tired of rearranging everything in my case at this point.
I may try shortening the SATA cables. I'm usually pretty confident in my abilities but that is something I haven't done before. For now, the...
Managed to fit a Dark Rock TF with both fans and an SFX-L PSU with a full length 1070. It was a reallllly tight fit. I had to remove the inner SSD mounting bracket to install the PSU. The bracket can be reinstalled after screwing the PSU in. I'm running 3 SSDs. The usual SFX-L cable challenges...
Arctic Accelero III is on sale for $39.99 on Amazon right now (only a few left in stock). I've been watching the price and it's been around 56-60 recently. I just picked one up over the IV because it comes with mini heatsinks for my 1070's VRM and VRAM. I'll be using a couple of NF-F12s as...
You'll need a different CPU cooler and PSU but everything else will fit. Corsair SF450/600 and Cryorig M9i or Noctua U9S for cooling will be sufficient.
...actually, I ended up contacting them through the website and they gave me a shipping quote to send it to the US!
Here's the link again if anyone is interested

Thanks again for posting the link originally a few days ago! I'll have a brand new C14...
Checking cooling compatibility on the M1 spreadsheet and the Asrock mobo models at the top seem to have been erased. Any way to tell which model is which?
I'm trying to figure out if a Noctua C14 will fit in the M1 on an Asrock H97m-itx mobo. I currently have a U9S and the CPU socket is a bit...
I know nothing about electrical currents...
I bought this switch http://www.ebay.com/itm/271361473765?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
And hooked it up using this cable...
EVGA/Zotac make a short 1060 that is worth a look. The fans shut off on these cards at idle. However, I have a EVGA 1070 ACX 3.0 that hits around 76C in Heaven with the default fan curve. It's very quiet too.
I have a Noctua U9S that I like for the cpu.
All the other components you listed will...
