    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Btw, is there a way to get rid of a speck of dust underneath the panel? I have a black dot in the upper right corner (1 to 1.5 centimeters from the bezel) of the screen and its not a bad pixel. When I put my mouse pointer above it and change my viewing angle it seems to be half a centimeter...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Thanks for the suggestions! Based on the information and recommendation on the blur busters website I followed the optimal G-Sync settings on the last page: - Nvidia Control Panel: g-sync and v-sync on; - Windows energy settings: high performance - In-game: v-sync off I took BF1 and AC for a...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Thanks for the reply. Fortunately the screen doesn't have other issues. There is one little speck of dust behind the panel in the upper right corner but it's not a big deal so I'm probably keeping the LG. It does need to get used to coming from a 24 inch 1080p monitor. This monitor is...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Thanks for your reply! In normal conditions it's indeed hardly visible. Besides ambient light and brightness of the screen it's of course dependent on the content you're watching. Is there a way to test for those vertical lines? I haven't noticed any lines yet. I ordered and returned a lot of...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Hi there, I recently bought the LG32GK850G. It's an amazing monitor which I (plan to) use as a daily driver and for gaming. The first one I got had 3 defective pixels so I returned the monitor. The second and current one seems to be perfect, except for some glow in the lower left and the upper...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

For all the people experiencing cold boot issues with DRAM and XMP settings with the Asus Z270i: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?92032-Asus-Strix-Z270i-Issues-Red-CPU-LED. It seems a much recognized problem with this motherboard. I experience this problem with cold boots while having...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks! The cables included with the SF600 are kind of stiff, but really easy to bend in shape. I didn't want the cables coming anywhere near the gpu and pressing onto the backplate so I routed them this way. Plenty of space in the M1! :)

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

    - I have heard the 1080 Ti while benchmarking, but not while gaming. Only when I press my ear against the case. The most gpu-intensive game I'v played was The Witcher 3 and the gpu fan ramps up to around 1400/1600rpm I think (1100 at idle). Therefore I have not limited the max rpm, because I...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hi there, I finished my first build a couple of weeks ago, but without a gpu. My original plan was to go for a GTX 1070, but when the 1080 Ti was announced I decided to wait for pricecuts for the 1080. I eventually found a great deal on a 1080 but then it suddenly wasn't available anymore and...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks! Tomorrow I'll try this. To be sure I am starting off with replacing the C14 backplate and go from there.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hi there, I don't know if its the right thread to ask a question like this, but I am experiencing some boot problems with my new M1 build. Last week I put the following system together: 7700k, Asus Z270i, Crucial 16gb 3000mhz DDR4, C14 cooler, SF600 (no GPU yet). After a couple days I rebuild...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Windows 10. I think I found the process that's making the cpu usage go up: "antimalware service executable". That must be Windows Defender... Would installing a third-party antivirus help in order to avoid using Defender?

Yes I understand that's the turbo speed, but what the hell is it doing at that speed? I wasn't doing anything.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks for the reply! I will check those settings. I don't really mind the CPU reducing it's clock speed when not in use, but I can't figure out why they are so high (4500MHz) for 1 or 2 minutes directly after startup. I'm kind of a noob, so I am worried something's wrong..

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hey there, Last weekend I completed my first PC/M1 build and it was a great experience. The only thing: after installing Windows and the necessary drivers I found out I didn't remove the rubber unlay from the backplate of the Noctua NH-C14 cooler. So I contacted Noctua and they responded it...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

xcharlesy: Indeed why? You can actually use and enjoy your M1 while waiting for X300 boards to come along... (and spare yourself the hassle of replacing your mobo, psu, cpu-cooler and the case for the second time). But I get it, you just like building pc's too much... :-p

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks for the links! I have a feeling it might take a while before we start seeing any worth-while itx boards becoming available any-time soon. I hope I am wrong and hope we see some in the upcoming weeks. Damn, I already waited soooo long to complete my M1 build. I first waited for the 7700k...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I am waiting for my Asus Z270i to arrive for my build with a C14. I am also wondering about the clearance between de heatpipes of the cooler and the heatsink of the motherboard! xcharlesy : Are the heatpipes touching the mobo's heatsink?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hi there, I'm planning a M1 build for almost 6 months and bought the case in august, together with an NH-C14 cooler, DDR4 RAM, Storage etc.. I decided to wait for the 7700k and the Asus Strix Z270i to come out. Now the money is burning in my pocket and I desperately want to build my gaming...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Does anyone know if the Zotac GTX 1070 Mini will fit the M1? Could the card's height of 122mm be a problem in the rear corner of the case? The reason I ask is because this Mini is by far the cheapest 1070 available in my country.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks for your reply! The SF450 seems sufficient AND cheaper! Thanks for the reply! I am not sure about the claim that the 7700k uses other TIM than the 6700k, but you're right about the minimal performance increase. I am sure some users are reporting extreme temps, but is that across all...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hi there, I am waiting for the Asus Strix z270i to be released for use with a 7700k for my upcoming M1 build. I already bought a Noctua NH-C14 for cooling. Can you give me some advice on GPU en PSU? - EVGA GTX 1070 Founders Edition: too loud? - EVGA GTX 1070 SC: I'm a bit worried about the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I think the Strix board looks amazing and I happily put it on my shortlist for my upcoming M1 build. I am a bit worried though about the heatsink height on the left side. I hope it allows use of the NH-C14 I already bought. What do you guys think?
