I came across the RAIJINTEK Styx Alu Micro-ATX case. It needs some mod work done for ventilation but seems like a really nice MATX case that has 5 expansion slots like the Cerberus. Its a little bigger but that allows you to fit a crazy big CPU cooler.
I say make the frame with mounting hardware and let ppl order their own TG and screens (maybe have adapters for smaller screens; I have a retina IPad mod'd which is about 10inches using displayport and microusb for power)
I put together my Xeon e3 1231 v3, GTX 1080 and was surprised how easy it was to put the whole thing together (also pretty fast); only problems were the riser bring a bit stiff and finicky, I put it in the wrong way and tried to remove the PCIE and took me more force than I would have liked but...
He needs that IPad monitor (its a mod) https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/my-modded-ipad-display.2680/
Basically Ipad +$30 adapter and little DIY (pretty easy with a teardown video)
Those heatpipes tho :) its like a BIG Shuriken 2 except you might (a big might) be able to put a fan underneath if you mod it. Lets make a new thread bc its certainly an interesting cooler but of course this is the wrong thread.
I'll let u know (prob gonna be a week till I build)
Anyone use the SF cable set from Corsair for SF600/400? Looking for a better set but don't really want to pay $100+
I found this and thought it was worth mentioning (if it hasn't already)
I have a L9a on the way for my 1700x but not gonna lie, this is pretty cute esp if the CU C7 ever gets released
As someone who had countless problems (and nightmares) with BSOD on AM2, I upgraded to Ryzen and has been pretty smooth and reliable even with a decent OC; recommend Samsung B-die RAM (with highest speed and CAS u can afford) and good motherboard, I have the Biostar and it's ok but u can do...
Finally got my hands on one of these bad boys..
Now the question is, which CPU cooler is hands down the best for the Sentry (conditions being the same); LP53, CoolJag Falcon II, Dynatron, C7, L9i/L9a.
I have read the threads and no clear answers. Only thing I've seen is that the L9 is the...
Fair enough, figured he probably did that :woot:
Heres my window mod; basically used a dremel to make the cut, edge trimp ( also called uchannel, to hide marks) and tempered glass from a stand that fits perfectly (cheaper than ordering a piece of Tem Glass online)
Heres the stand (you want the...
Any idea of RAM clearance? The first TF heat pipes pushed on the first RAM slot in a lot of itx builds I saw and if they are towards the back, will tall RAM fit?
Anyone with the X370-GTN and tall RAM? Using D9L and works ok (can't put 2nd fan on right side by RAM tho) but was looking at the Dark Rock TF and maybe mod the aluminum fins to make it fit (with a fan hopefully), was curious tried this themselves or with a C14(s)
