Think 10 nm is for ARM mobile processors, its also viewed as a stop gap for those who don't want to wait for 7 nm but at the same time for those who don't want to stay at 16/14 nm.
that could be a 1080, but since he used the word "new" maybe he's hinting that it is the 1080 ti, just not allowed to outright say that it is for obvious reasons
not sure where this belongs so i just picked what seems to be the right section for it
anyways, as the title says, AMD made a tool that converts CUDA code to C++ code. It sounds quite interesting to say the least

another rumor posted by videocardz. by the looks of it, it might just be that polaris is not "quite done" yet.

perhaps, but nvidia is not going to launch the 1080 ti for some reason if it doesn't feel the need to, and i don't blame them. if your competitor has no card in the high end, why would you even bother to release a 1080 ti?
well i looked up the shipping manifests again and it looks like to me that there are no new mentions of either FOC / PG611 SKU0010 GPU / 384-BIT 10240MB GDDR COMPUTER GRAPHICS CARDS, 699-1G611-0010-000 which was last updated on november 10th and PG611 SKU0030 GPU / 384-BIT 12288MB GDDR COMPUTER...
It appears that the third rumored variant of GP104, "GP104-150", may finally make an appearance after all as "GP104-140."

i'm thinking..
Volta+ (Volta Refresh) then Einstein (which was supposed to come after maxwell)
after that and a possible refresh of the architecture after einstein its anyone's guess but maybe gauss perhaps
except that claim doesn't hold true when the shipping product states it as 384 bit. do you really think the shipping product would lie?
edit: now this is interesting.

The 1080 Ti is guaranteed to be one of...
if nvidia is smart, which i think they are, they will have configured the "1080 ti" in a similar way that they did with the 660 ti and 550 ti if it does have 10gb of ram, and hopefully be a bit more transparent this time than with the 970.
I mean, you should be glad that they haven't decided to charge titan z level prices yet, $2000 for a X80, $4000 for a X80ti, and well uh, you get the point...
Here is an interesting article by 3dcenter - of course it is in german but by using a translator you get a pretty good idea of what's being said here. Speculation for now but its pretty likely that we'll see one next year and then 10nm and volta in 2018.
NVIDIA to launch GeForce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti? | VideoCardz.com
Interestingly the 1050 Ti is coming before the 1050 itself. Usually its the other way around.
Its early speculation but perhaps pascal might be short lived, and well the only things missing are - the launch of the GTX 1050, GT 1040, 1030, etc, and the 1080 ti (if there is one). There's also the common knowledge that Volta was supposed to succeed maxwell before it was moved up and pascal...
