a lot of the crashing issues are related to nvidia drivers (confirmed) roll back to 417.71 seems to resolve the majority of them... that said if your not using nvidia and having issues, likely something else going on.... but ya there was a post by the devs confirming known issue with later...

4000mhz ram really isn't needed unless you want to be on the bleeding edge, and be paying a premium for it.... 2400-3200 would be sufficient but that would still raise the prices somewhat, probably 160 ish for intel platform....200 for amd... gtx 1060 probably wont see for around 160.... unless...

at 1440p, theres potentially a good chance your utilizing all 4gb of your vram, when that happens, it dumps it into your system ram, and if that gets used up, it dumps it to whatever hdd/ssd your using, however theres no way to know forsure without running some on screen display stuff...
