One of my internal SATA hard drives ( 1TB Samsung 7200rpm ) keeps disappearing every time when I copy/transfer files to it. It also sometimes randomly disppears by itself too. In fact it actually just happened again as I was typing this....
Opening up disk management doesn't show the drive...

If there was any doubt that AMD holds the integrated graphics crown, when we compare the new Ryzen APUs against Intel's latest graphics solutions, there is a clear winner. For almost all the 1080p...
I can find a lot info about the Noctua NH-D15(S) in combination with the 8700k, but none with the Noctua NH-U14S. Do you guys think that my Noctua NH-U14S will be sufficiënt if I want to overclock the 8700k say to a modest 4.8ghz?
Is the Noctua NH-U14S compatible with socket 1151?

I currently have the GTX 1080 G1 Gaming with it reasonable overclocked.
There are some good deals on with the GTX 1080 Ti Asus ROG Strix. Just wondering is it worth going for it?
Will an overclocked 1080 Ti offer significantly more performance, I'm talking at least 35% than my overclocked GTX...
I'm thinking about upgrading to the 8700k and hoping to clock it to 5ghz to make it even more worthwhile.
In the past I’ve used air coolers exclusively for every build and hesitated going AIO solutions mainly due to being a little unfamiliar with them, but this time I might actually switch over...

Currently have the GTX 1080 G1 Gaming. I've been gaming for a long time at 1080p and being able to hit the dial to max out every game at well north of 60fps is a wonderful feeling.
Due to needing more screen restate and wanting to go to a higher resolution without tanking my framerates. I've...
AMD rumoured to be creating consumer oriented 16 Core/32 Thread Ryzen CPU

AMD has a new HEDT platform coming out in a couple of months. You’ll see more of it at Computex I believe. It’s a 16 core /32 Thread, quad channel behemoth. And it is insanely quick in the tests...
Planning to do a Ryzen build down the line for video editing, rendering and such.
Was wondering what are some good compatible air coolers that will handle an Ryzen overclocked to 4ghz.
Also can the cheaper 1700 hit 4ghz easily or is that only achievable for the more expensive 1700X & 1800X?
Currently using the Noctua NH-U14S. Was wondering if I were to get the 7700k, will this cooler be adaqute enough to handle it at 5ghz?
Also are the chances for 7700k hitting 5ghz high or is that only achievable for a small minority?

AMD's second fastest processor 1700X is showing some really impressive performance in Passmark benchmark.
It's single thread performance which is crucial, was faster than both Intel's 5960x & 6800k and was only 3% slower than the 6900k.
Again keep in mind this is the 1700x, not the 1800x which...
