I heard there wasn't much of a game. Pretentiousness oozes to the surface with some of these devs and they forget they are making a video game, not contending for an Oscar.
I am more receptive to a game's story if I am having fun playing it. Don't make me drudge through a boring game regardless...
As a once avid Tribes and Tribes 2 player, all I would ask for is a remaster of either, no need to reinvent the wheel. I have yet to play a game that scratched that Tribes itch.
I can't help but remain pessimistic.
I agree. The push for "personality" driven characters makes zero sense in a large scale battle when you see a dozen of the same person running around. It'd make more sense in a 5v5 or something smaller.
I am not fond of the specialist over class design, especially when most of the specialists...
I've been playing and while playing I'd have fleeting thoughts like "Hmm, not a fan of that." Then play a little more and think "Why is that a thing?" A little more and think "That's f*cking broken."
So I just went to reddit and read through someone's consolidated (long) list of...
Are you talking about that initial firefight? I am pretty sure enemy damage was shut off for the sake of being able to get that grenade off for the trailer; I don't think he took any damage in the hail of bullets.
So I assume it is safe to say your hopes can be unscathed.
I kind of agree with you on the attachments feature and perhaps there will be a hardcore mode that disables it.
I just wonder if the array of attachments is going to be as expansive as BF4 was because going by the trailer that specific weapon had 2 attachments each for Optics, Mag, Grip...
I am enjoying it but not as much as I thought. I am still in the first map (church area) and just got done looping all the way around the map, clockwise, to the second objective in the area, which in hindsight was the ass backwards way to do it.
I was hoping that exploring would be more...
Just snuck in a Steam pre-order, let's hope it sticks.
A bad road we are heading down. We use to be just divided by PC and console exclusives, now we can divide that by store exclusives.
Next step these stores will take is making it so you have to sub $5+/month to the store to get access to...
What about disease, i.e. dysentery etc. It looks like it takes place in the Summer time with high heat and humidity, a lot of stagnant puddles of water, and plenty of mosquitoes. With just a quick google there was a Washington Post article about a report stating DC is the worst city for...
I believe it's an updated Snowdrop engine but (ironically) I don't see there being snow in TD2. Which is disappointing because for me the the weather in 1 added so much to immersion, especially the white out blizzards. I wonder if they will just roll the effect over into torrential downpours.
This man preaches the gospel.
I can't say I've played a multiplayer game that encapsulated joy and time as much as Tribes 2 did. The first Tribes is a definite contender though.
All I've ever wanted is a proper new Tribes, shame that it won't happen. I tried that Mid Air game but was turned...
For me the first person view was unexpected but it makes a lot of sense since this city seems it is going to have so much detail to it that can only be appreciated in first person. Also with gun play first person is the only way to go.
It'd be a surprise if the game comes out next year. I...
Exactly, the game needed a progression and for me this is a welcoming one. Zombies will always be zombies, that formula rarely changes if at all. It is the world we get to roam around in that holds my interest and I'm glad it's not just some static set piece.
I tried it solo as well just to see what it was like...not good. I find it perplexing that they release an MMO-esque game with zero in-game public communication. I'd settle for a few "n-bombs" over feeling like I am playing with glorified A.I.
It's just so ingrained in the pc gaming zeitgeist that every new CoD is the same shit that even when I played (first time playing CoD online ever) I had a sense if it being the same shit again. I'll stick with BF1.
So anyone who wants to play this game the least bit competitively will play with all low settings, right? This confuses me as to why any attention was put into graphic fidelity. I personally would like the game to look good as I play. I don't want to be going all Solid Snake as I crawl...
An amalgamation of several characters into one. They really put their heads together for this one.
We get this miscarriage but no Winston buff? They do realize that even in Quickplay people say "Why would you play Winston?"
AI is a gripe I've had for a while now since we've been playing against the same caliber of AI for two decades. It's all about making it look pretty and nothing else.
"Hey Gaben, this is the Assassin's Creed movie, maybe ya'll wanna re-think this...XD."
How can they make a movie based on a video game that has NO ENDING!

The concession to getting terminated is that I can get a 100 GB data cap for a mere $710. Funny how over the summer it was only $450. Damn, data is more valuable than gold. INVEST IN DATA!!!
Tell your folks to find some new hobbies because shortly 60 GB will be considered "excessive use" of their "unlimited plan". I got my letter today and like your parents it's the only viable option for internet. So it's either give up gaming or move.
And yes matchmaking is shit for the most part. One team you're on sweeps easily (to the point you feel bad, happened) and the next you lose so bad you contemplate uninstalling.
The climb seems quick. Placed at 2256 now I'm 2427, tied 1, lost 1, won 4. I believe I got gold elims and damage in all matches too. I started so low because I never played enough comp in season 2 to bump my rank back up.
Lower ranks love to feed Zarya's charge for some reason, my friend who...
Symmetra changes coming to PTR. Spoiler: She will have a choice between 2 ults - teleport or shield generator.
I was just thinking yesterday what it'd be like if Zen had a second choice for ult and that second choice being a giant discord sphere.
I'd like to see a 80s Cold War "alternate history" with a bit of 80s action movie cheese. One map takes place on a golf course where you and your drunken SEAL buddies cause uproarious mischief (1990s movie sure but technically filmed in the 80s).
But yes, Vietnam would be good too. "You don't...
I got into BF4 after all DLC had been released, which was great. Now being on the other end of it I now realize the hatred I have for it. Waiting 2+ years and paying more for what will eventually be the complete game.
Greatly enjoying it but too bad my friend hasn't really got into it yet...
After not playing BF4 for a while, it took a few matches to get in the groove. At first I played Assault class very timid as to not die. Then I realized the point of Assault is to go balls out and just run into the sh*t. I died more when I was being cautious than when I dove face first into...
For the last few days every first game I play I go against triple or quad stacked heroes. They need a quick play without hero stacking which I believe they mentioned something about in an article I read. Seems every team MUST have a Mei as well (triggerable). I only play competitive with my...
There is a 1/1,000,000,000,000,000^10*10*10*3 chance of finding another player. You also get to name animals that you find which goes to a global database, I believe? Read all about my Fappy McDonutbutt that I find!
Safe to assume you have plenty of time to finish before episode 3. By then valve will be the sole owner of air and sell it to us in crate form but with the chance of rolling a fart. So learn to breath farts in the meantime.
I'm curious how this whole cloud-computing thing is going to work out. How will lag effect it? Say you unleash a barrage of rockets at a building, nothing happens, you walk up to said building, look up, then said building collapses on you.
Will the pc version have cloud-computing or is it not...
Exactly. They are snake oil salesmen. With The Division they seemed to put so much detail into creating the world but forgot to include a game. They need to take more than a year on creating a game and start from scratch; create a new IP for once.
