In the Past IRIS graphics where reserved for very specific CPU's typically with the C suffix for the desktop, but changed with the last Gen, e.g Intel Core i7-8559U they are for low to mid range but at a higher cost and for mobile only, they command a hefty price premium due to the built in...
I am sceptical with Intels GPU's they have tried 3 times in the past and failed, the IRIS is expensive due to have SRAM on the GPU, this Intel GPU is pretty much on par with the VEGA 11 iGPU which doesn't have SRAM.
I have now seen 5 reviewers that have had their RTX cards die on them with "space invader" shown on screen on you tube, clearly the RTX cards are the ones to avoid!
Urm yes the GTX1080 is a £500 card as is the Vega 64 and both perform fairly equally so can be used as a base line. Much like how for the mid range it would be the GTX 1060 6GB vs the RX580, No point in using the 1080Ti cause one, less than 2% of the market is that card and two, there is no...
LOL 132 followers, yeah thats shows the rebrand isn't that popular, everyone perfers ROG anyway, heck me i have an ROG motherboard, monitor, keyboard and mouse and next graphics card will be ROG, only got the MSI 1070 cause ASUS took the piss in getting their Strix version out to market.
Thats how i thought of it, as a style, cooling performance, the choice of hardware, i.e custom PCB, chokes, capacitors and assembly. So are we going to get ROG 1030's now??
I think it's a crock to take the entire ROG brand, now if they used Strix for nVidia and Arez for AMD i am fine with that but the entire ROG is BS, how much have ASUS invested in the ROG brand over the last 12-13 years????
Beta UEFI thats why it's not on the official site yet, i got it from the ROG forums, i like it from my Corsair 3200CL16 memory i got it running at 3333MHz. As for the people struggling with their memory i would suggest changing the memory settings cause although my 3200CL16/18/18/36 the BIOS...
People have the right to play on what ever platform they choose to, but there are alot of cross platform gamers and from cross platform gamers that have a half speced system play PC cause they have more customisation (mods but also graphical settings since like me alot of people can't stand...
Maybe they should petition the term "no mans land" so from now on when brought up about the history of WW1/2 that land being contested is now called "no womans land"..... yeah doesn't have the same ring to it.
shit should have taken my brand new asus transformer t300 in, just upgraded to windows 10 when i got it but took 12 gruling hours have no idea why it took so long it has a core m processor 4gb ddr3 1600 ram and 128gb ssd but for some reason the last 9% took 11 hours no disk, cpu or wifi activity...
Saw the video on utube relating to these slides and the guy that CREATED them, they are "projected" performance. So they took a game ran on a RX480 then applied the estimated performance increase and halfed what the GTX1080 gets.
Yeah i can't see this happening really, well since my fans are attached to a fan controller which has no baring to the motherboard controlling the speeds so :p
Even worse is that Pascal overclocks it's self intill it hits a limit, Power limit, thermal or voltage. Since mine maxes out at 93% power, 65C load but will hit it's limit at 2050MHz where it's the voltage voltage. And 20MHz will net you 1-2% which technically is within the margin of error...
+ clock speeds so we are looking at around 30% slower than the 1080, now is the price worth it from the 1070 to the 1080? Depends i guess i want the 1080 but £600 is prett steep and is the price of the 980Ti when that first came out. I can't make my mind up, i won't touch SLI tho. Had bad...
