Any still running an overclocked i7 5820k? (haswell-E)

I had a 5820k from 2015ish still a 4.3 GHz and 1.150vcore (x99 asrock extreme ITX motherboard). I was wondering if I could squeeze out a bit O' headroom more from it and was wondering if any of you chaps are running one overclocked. I do use this PC for gaming AND for school work (engineering...

    Installing new GPU, drivers

Back in 2010, people use to recommend booting into safe mode and using Driver sweeper. I just installed a gTX1060, had a GTX9800 in right before... Can I just use the "custom > Clean install' option on the NVIDIA 1060 drivers in windows 10 or do you guys suggest driver sweeper or some other...

Gigabyte Aorus gtx1060 vs Gigabyte Aorus EXTREME gtx1060?

Thank you. I saw a GTX1070 today on Newegg at 4am , after waking up after a nightmare and deciding to mess with my phone for a bit. I was going to put it in my shopping cart and purchase, but the card dissapeared and went out of stock in 30 seconds :(

Gigabyte Aorus gtx1060 vs Gigabyte Aorus EXTREME gtx1060?

Hey guys I recently picked up a gtx1060 aorus mostly for 1080p gaming like PUGB: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125971 The card dimensions are 11.02" x 4.37" or 279.908mm x 110.998 mm. My case is the NCASE M1 and *I thought it could only do 4.37" max height for GPU...

Is reference/blower style GPU must for SFF cases like NCASE m1?

Necere Do you recommend an AIO cooler like H100 be mounted as INTAKE or EXHAUST on the side of the NCASE M1 with a gpu (non reference) like that?

Is reference/blower style GPU must for SFF cases like NCASE m1?

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new card (Yeah i know prices are insane :( ) I can't even seem to find GPUs priced good , let alone finding reference style/blower GPU's. Is OK to have a triple Fan non-reference GPU like those Gigabyte Windforces in SFF builds like the NCASE? Like this card...

    astronomical GPU prices?

Thanks for the replies guys. BB Gun and techie81 , why will I be waiting a long time? I have about $1k to spend for both a GPU and monitor, I just felt like crap paying 500$ for a gtx1060 when I remember them being 200-300$ just 1year ago and I also sold my GTX1080... so I'm downgrading.... :(...

    astronomical GPU prices?

Hey guys, I was in the market for a GPU because I sold my GTX1080 for student loans 4 months ago. I was just going to buy a GTX1060, which they used to be like 200-300$ approximately when I remember, NOW they are anywhere from 400-800$ for the 3GB or 6GB versions. Someone told me its because...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Has anyone done any good tests to see if a 240mm AIO mounted as INTAKE vs EXHAUST in the M1 NCASE provides better cooling either way? I would think logically exhaust would be better, since the heat gets exhausted out the tiny case, where-as intake would build-up and probably another reason...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Has anyone here tested if the 2 fans vs 1 fan intake on the bottom of the NCASE m1 affects temperatures of a REFERENCE GPU? The fan further to the back of the case, seems like it hits the bottom of the GPU/graphics card, while the fan closet to the front of the case, appears is the only one that...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks! Everything is mostly the same for the z170 Skylake builds, except if you are going for custom sleeved cables your 24pin doesn't have to be as long as on the x99 ITX board because of where it's placed. And it's even easier to find AIO coolers for the z170 boards because you need the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I have the FE gtx1080 and get 60 in most games, 70s in overwatch which really pushes the card hard. Not everyone needs to go to those absurd lengths to take the shroud off lol

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Depends if you want to overclock. I had the noctua u9dxi4 in my NCASE m1 before I switched to the corsair h150 because I could only get to 4.0ghz before things got too hot. I can easily hit ~1.2v/4.5ghz now with the corsair h105. I also much enjoy the more room inside the case because the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I would keep the h100i. It depends on the motherboard type too, because the x99 boards are much harder to find coolers for because of the narrow ILM so users like myself, just to use say a corsair h105, I needed to order the Asatek bracket off ebay. Well worth it in my opinion because I wanted...

For those of you building x99 in NCASE M1 + gtx1080 FE (custom sleeved cable mod Corsair SF600 cables too with minimum length, check below for more information): The Corsair H105 attached on the CPU in two orientations, (1) with tubes coming out on bottom-left of CPU block and (2) with...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

I had the u9dxi4, I don't like alot of heat so I was doing around 4.0ghz with 1.060vcore and getting around 60-70C load while gaming/regular use, AIDA64 might have been a bit higher. I know that anything 1.1-1.2vcore would have brought it into the high 70C-80C load temp range using a stress...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I had my u9dxi4 , which is similiar , with the fans blowing out the exhaust out the back. Temps are decent, stock ghz load/gaming was around 60C-65C when gaming. I think this is the best because if you look at the U9s facing down and blowing out the top orientation, it is sitting on top of the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Uh that's incredibly odd. I have the SF600 and the Asrock x99e ITX, which has the weird placed 24pin mobo connector and managed to get even connected easily, the only thing that needed a direct path was the 24pin cable (which is 300mm stock), and the asrock x99e itx is like the only board that...

How do you guys recommend orientating a 240mm AIO on the side bracket for optimal cooling? (exhaust or intake) I currently have the H105 intaking: And do you guys reckon removing the bottom mounted dust filters for the two 120mm fans is worth the increased airflow? My 1080 is hitting 80C in...

The Corsair H105 was kind of a pain to install in my NCASE m1 x99 build. Do any of you guys know if its OK for the water tubes of the AIO H105 to be touching the radiator fins inside the case? I've seen some people use fan grills on the radiator? Obviously when I screw everything down, the...

There's not many headaches mate, you can even check the NCASE m1 compatibility excel document on their website and alot of users already input useful information as to what "fits" and what doesn't. Like anything in life, anything worth something requires energy to be input. It's worth it, vs...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

No, I used the noctua nh-u9dxi4. I saw some people using the Narrow ILM bracket for the noctua nhc14 but some of them were having to bend the springs or mod things so they could screw it on to the CPU, I didn't want to have to bend or mod anything, so I went with the u9dxi4 because its fits 100% .

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

The cables are really stiff. The 24pin is super thick and annoying, even more-so on the ASRock x99e-ITX/ac motherboard because the 24pin power connector is at the top of the board/NCASE, above the RAM and it barely has enough length to connect coming from the SF600 Corsair. I have seen another...

Hey, did you guys recommend using the anti-static wrist strap and can you touch the case to discharge electricity (without wearing the strap) when building? I have the 980Ti EVGA Classified, it's almost the same dimensions as the Strix ASUS (11" x 5.94").
