i would start by delidding and using liquid metal, even bare die if it takes that...
before buying into different heatsinks and getting 1c or 2c improvements, i think it's worth a try...
coming from a dan a4 (48mm too) and a ghost s1, i can say that the best improvements were by delidding and...
How about installing a mATX mobo?
Of course this will require some modding/layout change...
Something like adding a large tophat on both the top and bottom, placing the psu in the bottom tophat and getting 2 long pcie risers...
Maybe this way we could do watercooled sli! :)
Just a thought...
After checking a few videos of this, i have to say...
This is the ONE! I'm buying this one for my upcoming GHOST S1 build!!!
Althought it would be nice to get it for free... ;)
Not to be pessimist, but i think we all should get ready for a freaking lawsuit...
Just think about it, they moved all the "updates" to a private channel and disappeared from all the other sites...
When the moment is right they can just "erase" their slack channel and just disappear!
Ghost...
Could you do me a favor? I know for a fact that the lid won't close...
I would like to see it installed in the case, if you could take some pictures in different angles it would be awesome...
I'm about to do a custom "spacer" between the case and the lids, and i was thinking to get this...
i though about something similar, but after some research, i realized that 80/90 mm rads are not enough for a 95w cpu... nevermind a gpu or noise levels...
"Your mistakes"???? I don't know what are those hahaha (just kidding)
Well i don't want to show pictures just yet...
I'm done with the main concept, and it's looking freaking awesome... but i'm in the refinement part now...
Spoiler: DO NOT USE ACRYLIC UNLESS IT'S LASER CUT
Found 2...
Too late... i've already did it, it was my secret plan for may's contest (before mcheddadi came with that idea...)
i'm kind of dissapointed with the results let me tell you...
i'll post some pictures later...

Just like i pictured it on my mind!!!!!!
Congratulations bro, i'm glad that my idea came to reality and looking so good as well...
Now i just have to wait for my case (USA) and see how good it looks in person :)
A little confession: I feel a bit of regret about sharing my idea... Now...
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!
DON'T MESS WITH THE RAM SLOTS!!!
Is hard enough to find the components that we like and will work on your case...
Don't take the ram from us Dan!!!
dondan
How about if you use the advantage of your case vs any other one???
THERE IS NO GPU ON THE PCI-E SLOT! DON'T MESS WITH THE RAM SLOTS
Do a rectangular-ish cooler that WILL BE compatible with every itx mobo out there, without any drawback!
To be honest with you, it was my first attempt EVER in cable sleeving.
First i've spent A LOT of time watching youtube tutorials... On top of that, when i said "eye balling" it litelally means that. I didn't took any measurements!
I can tell you how i made it step by step:
1. Ive started by...
Trust me bro, DO NOT get an affordable crimper... been there already, and it's just not worth it...
Get a GOOD ONE from mainframe customs, it's expensive though, but you won't regret...
That's the one that did work great for me after 3 (yes... three!!!) cheap ones from ebay...
1. It's memory max height it's 52mm, not 54...
2. The cpu cooler stands on top of the cpu itself, giving it a higher standing point from the mobo, unlike the memory that stands directly on top of the mobo...
Hey everybody!
Don't want to start a battle here about what's better or current or whatever....
Just a simple question...
Will 200 series (with kabylake cpu installed on it) support W7?????
Bag??? OMG... Just ANY backpack!!! We are talking about the A4 my brother :)
Titan XP now, or 1080ti Kingpin (or equivalent...) later. I predict thoose will perform almost the same just like old Titan X and 980ti Kinping (or equivalent, again...)
Another option is the good old "wait for...
Hey Dan, if you are after Temps now, DO NOT FORGET ABOUT PSUs!!!
Good sfx PSUs are NOT cheap...
And they DO NOT have the "cooling tech" that our CPUs and GPUs have...
Just a reminder...
PLEASE, make some tests or benchs and let us know what's going on with the psu temps...
Even i (and i...
Thank you for your quick answer Dan, but you didn't paid enough attention to my post....
1.
You said: "it will be impossible to glue the acryl if is surounded by venting holes"
I said: "You can play with the distance between the vent holes and the window"
2.
You said: "Furthermore your...
Considering that temperatures with windowed panels will be JUST worse...
Here are my two cents:
- Acrylic windows for lower cost, and weight
- Screw-less, glued window (call it double side tape or whatever glue method other cases use...)
- About the same ventilation that the other(s)...
I'm not trying to argue here, just trying to get informed...
That said...
Does that mean that i should leave the "sense wires" the way they were before?
I mean, that article is talking about the RM1000i psu...
They mention reduced voltage ripple through theese sense wires and capacitors...
Well...
If you have 2 wires coming from different pins of the psu, and they are put together in a single pin on the mobo side connector...
What's the DIFFERENCE if i put them together at the beginning (psu side) of the connector or at the end (mobo side) of the connector???
ABSOLUTELY NONE...
because corsair decided to put double wires in 4 different spots, in the mobo side connector...
What i did is, using the same pinout, to put short jumpers (aka double wires) in the psu side, and hide them...
That way i only have 23 sleeved wires going from the psu to the mobo, for a cleaner...
