FS: MSI RTX 2080 Super Ventus OC(SOLD) and AMD R9 5900X(SOLD)

Thanks. I thought I fixed that part. It was previously but the buyer backed out. Fixed now.

FS: MSI RTX 2080 Super Ventus OC(SOLD) and AMD R9 5900X(SOLD)

I just have not posted on here in a while. I normally just view threads here for information. I was going to post on the forum I post on quite often but apparently can not. Just trying to get rid of some items. Paypal would be the primary payment type. But I am willing to sign up for...

FS: MSI RTX 2080 Super Ventus OC(SOLD) and AMD R9 5900X(SOLD)

I have a MSI RTX 2080 Super Ventus OC(SOLD) that I used for about a year and a half. Upgraded to a 3080 so I no longer need it. I also have a water block for it, used that for 3 months, that I will throw in for free if you want it. Card works great just no longer need it. It is yours for...

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Temp Average

Select the Custom Curve on the left so it is highlighted orange and then click on the fan 1 and 2 in the right hand pane and that will set it to the curve.

    Does pump speed matter?

Installed my GPU BitsPower Water Block today. Coolant went up to 27.1C, CPU to 73.1C and GPU to 43.6C when running TimeSpy. Not to bad since the GPU used to hit 70Cish running it before. Coolant raised almost 3C during the run at the BitsPower gauge. I have my pump/fans set to a gaming...

    Does pump speed matter?

I tried this one since it seems to be more designed for the AMD chips and the location of the chiplets, the intake is right where the two chiplets are. It is doing better than my Corsair block did by a 3-4 degrees peak temp

5800x and Asus Fmax Enhancer. Higher clockspeed but lower scores!?

Yes temps never go above 73 in the current setup but I can get them lower by lowering the EDC a hair and pretty much scoring the same for the comparison. But the loop keeps it cool so for normal operation and gaming. I am going to try to lower that cpu current to maybe 110 or 120 and see what...

    Does pump speed matter?

I had a Corsair Hydro X pump. But was concerned about flow given it’s lower specs on head pressure and flow rate for what I wanted to do. So I upgraded to the EKWB KE Quantum Kinetic TBE 200 D5 pump. I like the look of it better and even hooked it to my Corsair pump/fan and RGB setup to control...

    Does pump speed matter?

Understood. I just wanted to make sure the numbers were what others may see and I see two people on here seem to get the same numbers. I really like it for the looks and the ability to easily see what the coolant temp is. I can see my coolant is flowing in the reservoir so I know it is pumping.

5800x and Asus Fmax Enhancer. Higher clockspeed but lower scores!?

Oh with no Curve and even just PBO enabled my chip performs no where near what any tester has ever stated, except maybe in single core scores with a very specific setup. Not stock, not PBO enabled, not with board at max power settings and not with LLC in any of its settings. I currently run...

5800x and Asus Fmax Enhancer. Higher clockspeed but lower scores!?

My performance drops if I change LLC from auto to 2 or 3, or any setting really as I tried them all. But I am using Curve Optimizer so that may be why. That gives me the best multi core performance which is what I want. Just because it peaks at 5.1Ghz on two cores does not mean it can hold it...

    Does pump speed matter?

Temps are great. Does not break the 70 C mark unless I am doing something like running benchmarks. Coolant sticks around 22-23C all day long. Although I have not added my 2080 Super to the loop yet and that is just the 5900X running pretty much unleashed at I have the EDC limit set to 200A...

TechN waterblock. At full speed I get a flow rate of 3.0-3.1L/min.

New and Improved Watercooling Sticky - Post Your Systems Here

I just redid my system in a new case, the Corsair 5000X RGB. I finally found a water block for my video card and it is on its way, MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Super Ventus XC OC.

    Does pump speed matter?

My temp sensor on my flow port is about 1C higher than the flow meter. I just figure since the sensor is right on the pump that maybe the pump body is causing slight temp increase, my flow meter is after the coolant has passed through one of my 360 rads and on its way to the CPU block.
  17. J

    Does pump speed matter?

I have the same flow meter and it has confused me with the flow readings. They are roughly 10% of what they should be using a D5 pump. My EK pump at 3800RPM reads a flow rate of 2.0 L/min when it should be 20 L/min with no restrictions. I have only 2 rads and a CPU block so I would think it...

5800x and Asus Fmax Enhancer. Higher clockspeed but lower scores!?

Maybe it is just the dual CCD units but when I enable FMax enhancer it cripples what my second CCD, peak drops by several hundred MHz from 4.6-4.7 to 4.4-4.5. It does nothing for my single core peaks which are 5.1Ghz on two cored on my 5900X. Power on mine is no where near crippled as my...

Are there any air flow cases with support of 280mm radiators on top?

The Corsair 5000 series cases have more room up top for rads. I am thinking of adding a 240 or 280 up top to go with my 2 360's I have in my case. I could fit another 360 up there but I like the configuration of the front rad with the ports at the top instead of bottom so the 360 will not fit...

    Best CPU Waterblock?

I ordered my TechN direct from them. Took about a week and a half to get to me, in the US.
  22. J

    Best CPU Waterblock?

I recently switched from the Corsair block to the TechN and I can tell you the max temps I see on my 5900X during something like a R20 run have dropped from 79C to 74C. So the chip is boosting more.

    5900x, running hot

My single cores are that way as well with PBO enabled and even using curve optimizer, but my multi core is great. If I disable PBO then I get better single core and low multi core, compared to what the reviewers got. With PBO tweaked though and curve optimizer at -10 all core I do see two...

    90 fittings vs bending (aesthetics)

I use fittings where they will work and bends where I need them, because it would take more than one or two fittings to get the same result.

    Are there any X570 mobos that supports 16x PCIe 4.0 (GPU) + 4x PCIe 4.0 (NVMe) + 8x PCIe 3.0 (50Gbps NIC)?

Pretty much every X570 board is setup that way. If you use the first 2 PCIe slots you would limit them to 2 8x PCIe 4.0 slots. The CPU feeds those and the first m.2 slot all at PCIe 4.0. There are 24 lanes on the CPU and the remaining 4 lanes go to the chipset at PCIe 4 speed. Most boards are...

Understanding AMD mobo and nvme behavior for my new 5950x mobo

The CPU has 4 lanes for m.2 NVME and any remaining drives go though the Chipset. The GPU gets 16 lanes if you have only one PCI-e slot filled, it drops to 8 if you fill two PCIe slots on most Motherboards, 8 for each card. On X570 chipset all m.2 slots are PCIe 4.0.

Anyone use Corsair custom water cooling stuff yet?

Thank You. I am on my third box of tubing because I keep re-doing things as they are not perfect.

Anyone use Corsair custom water cooling stuff yet?

I have a 360 and 120 Corsair Rad, XC7 CPU block, XD5 pump/res, hard line and all the fittings from Corsair. That front tube needs to be redone, it is a hair off.

Help me overclock my RAM? I clearly have no clue what I'm doing... (Ryzen 9 3900x)

Manually set timings to 16-19-19-39 in BIOS and voltage to the specified 1.35V for the kit. Do not use XMP and leave the rest of the RAM timings to Auto. Or try the Ryzen DRAM calculator for all the timings to set. And as suggested check for latest BIOS for your board.

    Four stick compatibility (MSI)

I run 4x8GB sticks on my X570 MEG Ace at 3800Mhz with the attached timings. These are single rank and running at 1.49V, set in BIOS and more like 1.51V in Windows according to HWInfo64. Stable according to TM5, with no errors for 25 cycles.

POLL/Discussion: How do you tweak your Ryzen CPU?

I have tried St0ock, PBO Enabled, PBO using max power settings, and the EDC=16 bug with some other tweaks. The EDC bug gives it the best all around performance all around both using silly bench marks, for comparing changes made in BIOS, and real world feel in gaming.

x570 overclocking ram, cpu temps erratic 10 degree variables

Completely normal operation for an AMD 3000 series CPU to fluctuate in 6-10C temp ranges when monitored with something like HWInfo64. The CPU spikes in temp because the software is polling, the software is running so the CPU is not exactly idling now is it.

    Which X570 board for 128GB?

I know it is a lower amount of RAM, just saying the board clocks the lower amount in 4 sticks pretty well. Should hopefully clock some nice RAM maybe to XMP speeds of the kit.

    Which X570 board for 128GB?

I run 4x8GB sticks on my MSI Meg Ace board at 3800Mhz at CAS 14 with some tight timings just fine. I know they are single rank but they clock just fine on an X570 board with daisy chain.

1usmus does it again! This time WST 1.0K - check this out

I wish mine would have worked better with just using PBO. My chip could not break 7000 MT in R20 or 498 ST scores. No matter what settings I used. It only hit 7100 and 501 once I changed the settings to motherboard power settings instead of the AMD ones for PPT, EDC and TDC. I saw reviewers...

1usmus does it again! This time WST 1.0K - check this out

But mine only sits in that supposed 'Red Zone' during a moment when tested, and that is only when R20 is set to 'highest' priority in Task Manager. Otherwise it hits in the 7400-7500 range and maxes at 4.275Ghz all core according to HWInfo64, when R20 is just run at 'below normal' priority. It...

1usmus does it again! This time WST 1.0K - check this out

In my mind it is a minor tweak. I set the EDC to a lower level, in my case 16, and the TDC and PPT to the motherboard's max. Thus allowing the motherboard to power the CPU with whatever it wants to draw within its spec. I left all voltages on Auto and really just then changed the LLC. Not...

1usmus does it again! This time WST 1.0K - check this out

Currently I have a 280mm AIO so the CPU it was not the cooling. Everything in the BIOS power wise is set to Auto still. So just switching to a different LLC, I imagine, must have boosted my voltage on the CPU which would explain the higher temp spikes. In the past I have never noticed my CPU...
