is windows recognizing your monitor? it was pretty much plug and play with mine. I'm going to assume the issue since it's greyed out, is that windows is not recognizing your monitor as being hdr capable.
ok, finallu unboxed, i was waiting for my ddr5. this monitor is apart of a new pc build. comparing it to my acer. it's so much better, i can see the difference immediately, it's very similar to my oled TV but seems a bit sharper and crisper. the hum is very low on the fan heat sink. I would have...
using four sticks will tank your system performance. 2x32 is the way to go if you want 64. i just did 64gigs of the crucial. the 5200 64BG of the corsair is not bad, but the sales tax in my state is so high it wouldn't be cost effective for me, so i just stuck with the crucial 64gb (2x32 kit)...
the difference is minimal. If you have the disposable income, sure go for it. Price/performance wise it's terrible. it's literally like paying twice as much for the GT model of a car, and all the GT model does is let you drive 1 MPH faster.
newegg for quite a few years now has been marking up popular items, I think had called it "dynamic pricing" or some nonsense like that. I guess it has become more noticeable to costumers
I don't think all EVGA are made in china. the MSRP for 3090's didn't change after Trump initiated the Tariffs.. and yea it isn't microcenter, its the AIB who have gone ham. MSI being one of the worst offenders.
exactly, and its the one of best models they have , they have cheaper ones, but I wanted the FTW3 ultra one. look at how much the MSI ones cost. it was also far cheaper than any 3090 you can ever get on the newegg shuffle. it's a 3090, i knew that going in.
Microcenter did not me scalp me. got a 3090 FTW3 at MSRP today. it's kinda sad how excited i was, and all because i just randomly checked the microcenter website today. had to grab an uber during lunch.
that does sound sketchy. the guy who helped me, told me, if you see a box we have it. I'm pretty sure he checked the inventory before he gave me the voucher that I had to take to the register.
I know no one wants to hear this, and I hate it also, but this is how supply and demand is supposed to work. certain things like staple goods, are artificially controlled (which is for the best as a whole imo, I'm sure farmers et al would disagree).
also the china tariffs
that review basically said what i just said, WD850 is as close as you can get to an optane drive.
The OP criteria does not include price. of all the options listed, without price being a consideration, which was not requested, the easy answer is the WD850. If the op wants us to consider price...
I don't understand these votes
WD is by far the best and fastest, money no object
the WD850 performs the closest to an optane SSD, and that's all that needs to be said
Sabrent is good if money is important
having seen the full RT numbers, and the rest of the feature set, i think they are probably priced a little bit too high. But i love visual fidelity, so i could see how someone else would think differently on that issue.
I'm going to guess that these Ti models will be made on TSMC 7nm process. I also wouldn't put it past Nvidia to release a 7nm version of the 3900 and call it a titan. lol
I think they trade, and I am pretty nvidia is going to dominate in Ray Tracing. Now when AMD has a card that can actually beat Nivida, you damn right AMD will raise the price. why wouldn't they?
i wish people would stop mis uses the phrase price gouging.
from findlaw:
When retailers take advantage of these spikes in demand (often coupled with supply bottlenecks) by charging exorbitant prices for necessities, it's referred to as "price gouging."
Video cards are not necessities. things...
1. because they want predictability .
2. they would rather have gamers as customers over miners. Gamers are stable , and they have predicable buying cycles.
3. the current situation, is leading to people quitting games and a abundance on miners, a bad thing
4. AMD serves as a cautionary tale of...
