well yeah some minor updates will come. eg. "Fix the failure of access to certain website in the browser". Unlikely to get much else besides fixes and enhancements to whats already there.
then those suck too.
But with the phone situation LG seemed particularly behind. generations old samsung phones were getting updates and last year LG phones were waiting. I would bet that other TV makers will be more keen to update their older models and more likely to streamline their own...
Besides LG being a rubbish company when it comes to software. I can't really trust them. I should have known better after I bought an LG phone and barely saw updates. With the new TVs they will focus on webOS 22 and G1, C1 and below will suffer. Simple things they added in webOS 22 might never...
Newegg has had combos in stock for a few hours now I think. Might be they got a lot of ddr5 ram and are using the ram to sell other parts. Makes me optimistic large shipments are coming in to other retailers soon.
I don't mean on short notice. they could have spent months securing their launch.
Things like DDR5 and SSDs should be on the easier side to supply. A network card will have more components to source. DDr5 is literally DDR5 chips and a chip or two. The number of components that could cause a...
You're saying a lot of things but most of it doesn't matter. intel claims to be/want to be a chip manufacturer for third parties. Unless they are going to swear off ever making PMICs for some reason. The main points of concern are if intel could actually make those chips if they saw a problem...
I thought about this recently. They had time to make sure the launch was better. Intel has fabs they could have used to make whatever is causing a supply shortage. If they cared, they could possibly have done something.
ultimately they had months to prepare and get their crap together. The chip...
it actually detected the PC when I connected it. I'm not sure if there's a difference in what it means to manually set to PC and what happens automatically.
Finally got around to checking out a lg c1. claims were that this was better because it got brighter. I found that I was reducing the brightness on the c1 so I definitely woudn't benefit from that.
Another issue people had was reflections and Even with it facing a window during the day, I'm...
for someone looking to import one in another country. It became a curiosity
Also started wondering if they do label/market it as a TV. I suspected the CX might have a reference to it and that the C1 might have done away with it. Maybe someone at LG is enlightened.
Those unboxings were annoying...
The results in the hardware unboxed video were decent. Key is not being easy to tell the difference. If this works out I am probably going to be able to manage 4k much more easily in the future. My next upgrades will be for 4k gaming
it wouldn't be any more authoritarian than regulating banks, sanctions etc. I think something like trade/currencies allowed would fall well within their right to manage.
Wouldn't mind if they if they integrated a lot of features you get from extra software. eg. snapping windows to a specific location with shortcuts. Could also add OLED burn-in reduction features. Those would be of value.
I would love it if this was some hackery. i.e. a way to store things on people's computers for free. You could just do the same thing without any fancy tech. Issue crypto to people to make their storage available for w.e.
I've had a couple or so crashes. Both in spider man games I think. The original and miles morales. Seemed more like game bugs. In one of them I think the web hooked up to something ridiculously far away and the character started flying, camera ended up on the side of a building with the game...
IIRC Scalpers have the 3080 higher than the 6800 cards. My thinking on the retail price being higher was more along the lines of AMD wanting more money (they have bait and switched on prices before?). But maybe their partners want more money.
I'm wondering about this too. I think there are specific scenarios you would need more. Maybe video editing. I don't know of many others. Other use cases likely go up to specific professional things. Maybe CAD modeling.
16GB should work for up to 4k editing with fewer effects. I doubt I need...
makes me wonder if certain products could ship to retailers with flat shipping boxes that would be used instead of whatever the retailer can come up with. So when it comes time to ship they just take the shipping box, unfold it and its good to go.
yep. stick to the console. No sane GPU options right now. Its possible to get a rx 580 or so at near launch price but those are old still. ultimately a waste of money. GPU prices should crash eventually
They even have the weather text blurry. Mine was and I see OPs own was as well. Did they not care or couldn't find a way to fix it?
Yeah I noticed those dots in OPs picture. Completely missed it when I was searching.
I wasn't bothered by this. Was actually hoping to find what other changes might have been made but didn't see any. I ended up disabling this just because (don't need so w.e.). I also couldn't find how to setup the weather information at the time though that now looks like a noob issue.
