Ok, so I installed r151014 again, and lo and behold, OmniOS shows up on the network.
As soon as I import the zpool again, Omni complains about smbd dyndns: failed to get a domainname. But I can browse my share from my different windows clients... for a while. The smb side on Omni/napp-it...
I should clarify. My ESXi box has two nics, 1 for WAN and 1 for LAN. Every VM in my esxi box points to LAN nic.
There is only a switch between my windows pc and the esxi box hosting OmniOS. Everything is using same subnets in my home network.
