For what it's worth, I've never experienced people being that strict on the dimensions/weight of carry-on items. I think if you was using something that was obviously meant for hold-luggage, you'd get stopped. But maybe people here have differing experiences.
Yep, although I think the demand of these would be a bit more than sandblasted finished panels (which won't come included but at an additional cost - which could put people off).
I think it should be a potential upgrade at purchase, otherwise you end up with wasted panels.
I am guessing this has been discussed several times, but I guess it is the only thing I am looking forward to being possible with the Ncase M1, that is, USB-C front ports. I know due to motherboard limitations this isn't there for that reason, however, how hard would it be to change it in future...
Anyone who has both the black and silver version of this case, someone who is undecided which colour to get - what would you advise/point out?
Thank you :).
For those complaining about site load, most companies have this issue, even the big ones - it isn't feasible for companies to invest in systems for what would be a very short periods of time when the load will be too much. It would be nice if they could put things in place for things like this...
Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but how easy would it be to change the front ports on the Ncase M1 to USB-Type C Thunderbolt ports myself?
Thank you.
Hi Dondan.
If I place an order this Sunday via Kickstarter, what are estimated shipping time to say UK? I was wondering if anything has changed/been revised since your last estimations. I am in the process of moving so I am trying to work out which address I should order it to.
With the current plan of using crowd funding in Februrary - what are realistic expectation time frames for shipping of these products to say EU/UK - assuming everything goes to plan?
Obviously won't hold you to any dates or anything, I know a lot of spanners can come in the works which you will...
Good point. I noticed a new batch is being readied for the end of January - I presume this is without any revisions.
Are we likely to get any revised versions of the chassis (similar to how Ncase M1 has moved onto v5) - that would probably help me pull the trigger on this case - otherwise I may...
I don't know what you mean, what dondan said seems more in line of how I thought he would be doing it?
They ordered min 300 so he is creating that many. There isn't a end user order of 300...
The reseller could have decided to order 5000 if they thought they could sell it, good profit margin...
Not quite. If the reseller is taking on 1000 of your cases, you are only going to produce 1000 right?
That is how it works in retail usually - the reseller asks how many you can make and how much they want to take on. You then go and produce it, with whoever (Lian Li in this case).
Out of curiosity, with the crowd funding option, would the cases be available any earlier than March/April? Or either way are we looking at a release around then.
Meh might be for the best that I wait, hopefully Nvidia Pascal GPU's out by then :).
Can anyone point me to where I can see how the cooling performance is on non CPU/GPU components (vrm's etc)?
Reason I ask is, the NCase LRPC project was halted due to some cooling concerns I believe - and I was just trying to get reassurance nothing like...
Saying if something is possible <> demanding. Sorry if it seems like we are being spoilt children but it isn't our intention.
I am sure it is all feedback for Dan. In terms of projects, from my own personal experience:
a) These sort of comments, can sometimes help designers/creators see...
Thanks for the replies all, including Dan.
With a need for a cable going to the case as it is, due to it having to connect to the PSU - what was the reason that the original idea of the PSU being outside the case, was scrapped. Was it to make it so you don't have to lug around a power supply if...
For a case like this, 10mm is huge I think :).
Anyway it was just throwing around idea's, I am probably wrong. I want this case to not just succeed, but be the best case possible. I try not to think of things as not possible, I mean just look at the innovation that went into this case to bring...
I wonder if we removed all HDD/SSD chambers on this case, how much smaller we could make it.
With PCIE M.2 ssd's, I think we can go even more ultra-compact. I think quite a lot of us don't actually
a) Swap hard drives a lot
b) Need that much space to begin with, or use cloud based storage...
This case has piqued my interest so much.
As someone in the EU, what are realistic expectations for when I might finally have my hand on this case?
January, February, March?
Secondly, the only thing that actually is a negative on this case for me, is that it has no option for a slim...
