Are you sure its the mouse & not the game? i know some games dont recognize all the buttons by default, so you have to assign key commands to it. I would think though most apps would recognize that button, it has been pretty standard for quite some time now. I just picked the same mouse up...

Issue 2 fixed. User error Still cant get profile to auto switch when it detects the game starting. has to be something with how steam operates.

I should add that before step 2, I set the profile as the default one, no auto switch since I couldn't tell if that feature was working.

I had this issue w/ my G7 starting in Dec. After reading online about rf interference, i realized that i bought a new Sprint Epic in late Nov. After diabling the wifi on it, no more issues. Took me about a month to realize the phone sitting about 1-2' from it was the problem.

Norton 360 is an all in one application; av, firewall, spyware, etc. It is more than likely the cause to your connection issues. A small biz i help out now & then had a similiar Norton suite installed & it would just screw up everything. they couldnt print, network share, access the net, etc...

figured it out. this burning program called infrarecorder was causing the problem. did some different search strings & found others that were having the same issue. Removed the app clicked show desktop icons & there they are again. Thanks for the help!

yup both. when i open the iconcache file, i can see paths & names of the apps. ive even changed desktop themes, pics, aero on/off to no avail. mind bottle-ing.
