For dual link DVI it needs to be 2 meters (Assuming the cable is AWG 30) or less for it to be able to support 1080 144Hz. For up to 3 meters the AWG has to be about AWG 28. Anything longer 3 meters needs to be about AWG24 (longer than 3 meters) due to bandwidth and signal strength. The...
When making stuff or going into a production - they go by a projected sales forecast or sell through, so the AIBs may have thought what was sitting in retailers, in transit, or being assembled would be enough for the 30 days and next 30 days after... no one anticipated the mining crazy eating...
How long is your HDMI cable and is it certified for HDMI 2.0 Specifications? I have a 4K monitor running at 60Hz just fine with a RX 480 with HDMI Connection.
Not yet... Also I think they took the wrong picture of the NX-VUE32 (didn't realized it till now). We had two there with different scalar suppliers and bezels.
Hopefully I will have them in the next few weeks once everything is confirmed.
I think it was the image used.
If I may add my input to this thread as a manufacturer of one of the 24" FreeSync monitors in the market.
Regarding G-Sync:
I believe Nvidia is in the monitor supplier business - by validating and testing their G-Sync Module (aka scalar with PCB/Inputs) to make sure it works well with specific...
From what I know at this time or allowed to disclose, there is no "AMD FreeSync Certified" monitors or panels of that size. They could still work as adaptive-sync.
Yes, Metro Player works with FreeSync/Adaptive-Sync
AMD recommended me to use Metro Player to test video playback with FreeSync and I remembered our monitors running at 48Hz - I just verified that the file I was playing back was avi and at 23.976 or 24fps (I thought it was a 48fps file) - "Big...
Have you tried a single monitor using DVI or HDMI only to see if it flickers? Try running a single monitor on each port to see if a specific video output port is causing it. Also for DisplayPort out try running a straight DisplayPort cable (not one of those DP to DVI adapters) - some time the...
I know you have to play the video in full screen mode and wait at least 10 seconds for the mouse curser and video menus to go away. FreeSync/Adaptive-Sync does not work in window or borderless window mode at the moment.
I will do some digging and report back - I remember using Metro Media...
Do you have a list of video players that you want me to test FreeSync with? I know at the moment FreeSync does not have the frame/hz doubling feature - but if our monitor hits 30Hz while playing the video we know its working.
Thank-you!
