I'd personally rather have the USB / audio on the front panel if at all. I don't need that stuff myself, but I know some ITX boards are fairly limited with USB connectivity, so I expect some people would want an extra port or two.
It's funny, I was just thinking of how cool it'd look with like a Pokémon laser etched into it, lol. Yeah, I take it all back, I can definitely feel that. Carry on. :)
I like it.
But yeah, now that the screw in front of the USB port has been pointed out I can't unsee it. That does annoy me slightly. For my two cents, I think blue USB looks fine though. :P
I sort of wish the front had more going on than a flat slab of metal with four screws sticking out...
Just popping in to say I love this case. Keep up the good work!
My Dan A4 won't even ship for a few months, yet here I am already ogling this smaller case. Granted, I'm sure it will be a great deal longer before this one is available.
Well, and that HDPLEX is supposed to handle spikes up to 400 watts. I guess the main thing is I'll need a big-ass power brick. I've heard about that 350w voodoo firebird brick. Are there any good alternatives?
Wow, I love the white. And the black for that matter.
I have a question: given that I have a 6700k mini ITX build right now, and assuming that a GTX 1070 comes out that fits, can such a build be reliably powered inside this case?
I guess that the 250 Watt HD Plex is the beefiest power board...
Well that's pretty cool I suppose. I just hope we don't have to wait too long for ITX-sized 970 equivalents when they unveil the new Pascal cards. The wait to Pascal is long enough as it is!
Oh well, no problem. Honestly, I don't think I'd mind paying full price for it. Also... Just how much...
Is it Pascal yet? I need this case in my life but I can't justify it until a mini Pascal card comes out that's better than my full-size 970... :(
Also wow, I didn't realize just how amazing that gunmetal powdercoat looks... I almost like it better than the navy blue, and that's saying a lot...
The problem is, the GPU enclosure would be bigger than the computer itself and would require its own cord. Don't get me wrong its still awesome, but I think ITX inside an ultra SFF case like the S4 Mini is more exciting to me personally because internal GPU.
So, I feel stupid for asking this but... you're using an Intel cooler in that picture and I thought those were too tall for this case because they're like 46mm. Is that some kind of low-profile intel cooler or what?
That's really exciting news. I want this case so bad (it's my favorite out of the projects I've seen on hard forum due to its size and looks) but I currently just own a full-length 970. :( I'm planning on doing a completely new build once pascal comes out though, so this gives me hope that a...
Yeah, I'm really excited to see what Pascal means for ITX-sized graphics cards. If we can get something with the performance of like the 980 TI inside a case like this without using a ton of power... that would be incredible. Might just be wishful thinking though. :p
Well holy crap this looks amazingly sexy. How many liters is it? And what's the max wattage you can get out of those tiny power supplies?
Edit: whoops nevermind, didn't see your link at first.
Nah this is Hard|Forum, you're supposed to post sff builds that make you hard ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Dan seemed to think it would fit. We talked about it toward the bottom of this page. but yeah I'd definitely try to confirm the length before deciding one way or another. :D
I'm not so sure. I remember researching this a while back and getting confusing results when it came to the gigabyte. If you take the specs at face value it doesn't fit, but this article where they actually measure it would seem to suggest otherwise.
Nice! It was amusing to see the Google Translated version of that review. I could tell what they were saying but there were a couple gems I thought were funny.
We should all call them pixel accelerators, that sounds cooler than graphics card. :p
The infection is spreading! I just purchased a Cherry MX key tester to help me decide which poker 3 to get.
Also @ the HHKB Pro 2, those switches sound cool but I'm not ready to spend that much on a keyboard, especially since I don't know of an easy way to try out the topre switches...
Agreed. After researching a bit, I'm pretty sure I want a pok3r simply for the programmability. I wish it had backlights, and there is a backlit model coming, but I kind of feel like not waiting because who cares.
Anyway, sorry to get so off-topic. I will just ask Curiositie one more thing...
Hmm that's a good point. But I'm super infatuated by the 60% form factor now, it's way too sexy. Took a peek at some of the other 60%'s like the Ducky Mini... oh boy. Not sure I can spring for anything bigger now.
Ooh neat, that's good that it has volume controls, I already have to hold the Fn...
I'm just glad I'm not the only one who carries an M1 and portable monitor around in a backpack. I mean, I don't take it most places, just when my friends and I are partying and such. But I'd probably take it more places if it was the Dan A4, just for the sake of being able to do it since it's so...
Dang dude, that's super crazy awesome. Also, my bezels are bigger than that Amazon page may lead you to believe. There's a black inner bezel in addition to the white outer one. In fact, one of those images on that page is an outright lie. Man... if there was some way you could use the iPad's...
Hey, I use a portable monitor with my M1 too :p (only as a secondary when I'm at home of course.) Granted, mine is just as much of an abomination because of its giant bezels. But it was the only 1080p IPS portable monitor I could find, and it has a touchscreen and speakers so it was way worth it.
I've got to be honest, I'm confused as heck. Your monitor looks just like an iPad, but it's clearly not since you've got a full HDMI or maybe USB plus a headphone jack out the bottom (well, the side in that picture.) What kind of witchcraft is this? I assume that it's just a portable monitor but...
