Jeah, that bandwaggon has long left the station, asw 2.0 is already close to release, lets give volvo another two years to catch up. ( intrestingly enough asw 2.0 also lays the foundation for eye tracked dof rendering )
Hate the color aswell, running a full noctua air cooled setup. I bought my 120mm noctua case fans nearly 10 years ago since then they intercontinentally travelled with me and have been running atleast a couple hours daily, they still perform like on day one.
His point is that that guy got a cheap ass phone holder, failed to set it up and compares that to pc vr which is a completely different beast, no matter which of the two popular hmds you own right now.
Without sony there are high chances we wouldnt have seen re7 in vr at all. I played through on a pro + psvr and im still not convinced my rift and high end rig would add much to the experience ( this has something to do with the display differences of the headsets )
Would love to see hardocp take a look at motherboard manufacturers that connect up to 10 usb 3.0 ports to a single controller which can only support a maximum of 2 high speed devices.
please elaborate in what possible way the vive devkit is more "advanced" than the oculus ?
is it because they almost waste 25% of the screens real estate because the lens system / post rendering warp used is nowhere as sophisticated as the rifts ?
is it because weight wasnt considered at all...
True, but as soon as ure talking VR / AR ure talking ultra low latency. Compression / decompression just adds another layer of latency to a system which is even with a cabled signal on the very limits of acceptable.
Problem isnt that we cant get the data wirelessly to the headset display...
? Maybe i missed that 32gbps wireless consumer standard ure talking of.
Even the fastest cabled consumer ethernet standard tops out at 10gbps and that would be just enough for full hd @ 60 hz.
