If you run a single 120 rad, chances are you will need dual fans to keep it cool. A single 120mm is sufficient for 295X2 but dual fiji is likely to consume more power than a single 295x2 so you will need a thick 120mm rad and 2 fans.
For me its the opposite.... Those damm Nvidia drivers. I was using AMD/ATI all the time. Bought the first Titan launched because its the fastest. Sold it off after a month. I too couldn't take the driver and instability woes. Now running on a pair of 290. Never felt better than before. Will...
I am waiting patiently for Zen, once its out, I will dump my 4790K and will never look back. The reason why I never get AMD right now is solely because Zen is not compatible with current boards. Pls give us a 5GHz CPU, I don't care about TDP.
So, this world should only have Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs right?
How about no PCs since they are so big and bulky. We already have tablets/mobile phones.
Sigh..... looks like its just a matter of time before AMD declares bankrupt and shut down.......Sad day for AMD fans.
Nvidia and Intel fanboys should be very happy since it will be just a matter of time before AMD is no more. This means there will be only Nvidia GPUs and Intel CPU in the...
I am still surprised that there is such thing called esport........ Sitting on the chair, moving mouse, clicking buttons and pressing keys is now a sport? Sure sounds very simple.....
If thats true, Nvidia will end up killing the Titan X and pwn all Titan X buyers. Now there is a card called 980ti thats faster cheaper better.......
I don't think that extra 6GB will make any difference in performance.
Hi folks, is it worth investing in 5930K over 4790K for gaming (assuming both are overclocked). Cause I am currently using 4790K oc to 4.6GHz, I wonder is t really worth the money to swap to 5930K.
Currently using 290 CF. Going for 390X CF when its released. So wondering if it will really...
Cause I read that Samsung is trying to acquire AMD. If Samsung did manage to acquire AMD, will AMD cease to exist? I am a bit worried because I have been a long time fan of AMD esp. their GPUs (since 9800Pro days). I don't want to switch to Nvidia and definitely do not want Nvidia to dominate...
Wow, what a long thread on Gsync vs Freesync.
Actually I want to say that both GSync and Freesync are considered niche market products. This is because I believe many gamers do not bother so much about monitors. I have been living w/o such tech for ages...... Still gaming today. Don't see how...
Seriously, does it matter? If you ask me whats the best scale, its non other than Kelvin. Cause 0K is absolutely 0 and it is the lowest possible temp in theory (not possible in reality since you can never have absolute 0 energy).
This is the only scale does not get into -ve range the value 0...
Yes, I fully agreed. If I want a flagship card, I will not bother about power, if I am concern about power, that means I cannot afford a flagship card. Simple as that.
Corrections, its showing a highly overclocked + water cooled GTX980 vs 295X2. Keyword here is highly overclocked and water cooled. I am very sure stock results will be different.
I am using EK water blocks on my pair of 290 (not 290x) and I oc it. Its even faster than that overclocked 295X2...
Btw, all these fanboy arguments always amuse me....lol....
I am an AMD fan but I don't really bother to argue with others. Its my money and I buy what I want.
Whats the big deal about CF not working? Not all games support CF or SLI. Some games have bugs with it. Eg. Daylight does not work with CF and SLI.
Don't work? Just wait for patches...... How long have we waited for BF4 to run decently? When BF4 was first released, it was so buggy and EA had...
IMHO, no point going for quadfire. I tried 4 x R9 290, and it doesn't run well except for benchmarks. In the end, sold off 2 of them and I just stick with 2 cards. Runs fine.
Whats wrong with the drivers? I have been using AMD cards since 9800 Pro days, never have issues. Most of the games I play run just fine. In face, I face more issues with buggy games than drivers......Having to download those gigs of patches just to get a game run properly is ridiculous.
I am...
Yes, it may go higher. But its going to affect reliability. There is a limit of how much power you can pump into that piece of silicon. Having high clocks and voltage is going cause the silicon to degrade very quickly.
I am sure that many GTX980 can overclock well and many do post their oc...
Nope, it will be more. You can't use AIO for this, it has to be a custom loop so its going to increase the price by quite a bit. You need fans, radiators and pump as well as tubing.
I believe that the leaked benchmarks are as real as it gets. Stock clock wise, 390X should on par or faster than Titan X. Cause 390X is going to have 4096SP which is ~45% more than 290X. Hence, its not surprising to see that 390X will have ~50% faster performance (taking memory etc... into...
