    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Sure! Imgur Link: http://imgur.com/a/00z48/all The board is excellent imo, and lacks for nothing other than quad channel ram, which isn't all that important depending on what you're planning on doing. My biggest gripe is that even with Noctuas everywhere, I still hear the faint...

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

Yeah I think I definitely made a mistake here. When I think of "pump noise" I was expecting to hear the grinding noise on all those youtube videos. It sounds more like a tiny refrigerator. I may have been expecting too much from the AIO :( Although I am still curious why the SX600's fan...

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

Was rather hoping the AIO in quiet mode would be silent at idle, or at least that's what the advertising indicated. Fans are silent though from what I can tell. Noise does appear to be some combination of the PSU and the Radiator.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Hey guys. I built my first rig using this motherboard. Thought I would share a few pictures of the completed product if anybody is interested: ; Cable management is not the best by a long shot I realize, but I'm pretty new to desktop building, and the case is rather difficult to work...

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

So I just built my first ITX computer today, and I was aiming for silence when not under load. To that end, I outfitted it with a Strix 980, a Corsair H100i GTX with 2 intake 120mm Noctua NF-F12 PWM with low voltage adaptors, and 1 140mm noctua exhaust fan with a low voltage adapter as well...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Do you guys really experience pump noise that badly with the AIO stuff? I have the Corsair H100i GTX running on quiet mode via Corsair Link and I can't hear a thing other than my Air conditioning white noise. If you want to custom cool it, again EK has a mount for it. Go crazy, and share pics :)

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Assuming the H75 uses an Asetek block (looks like it) then you can order a narrow ILM mounting kit from them for 10$ + shipping. Mine came in the mail yesterday, just email their support team.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

I should have my AIO cooled unit done by next week (ordered the Narrow ILM kit from Asetek) but I think if somebody wants to aircool and has room in their case then the Noctua NH-U12DX i4 should do a more than adequate job. I suspect it will probably even give water coolers a run for their money...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Hey guys, good news! 1. The Digital Storm variant is actually a re-branded H100 not H100i. The H100 is apparently compatible with the included mount ASRock provides. I'm not sure how different if any the H100i is, but I suspect it will be compatible also considering how similar they look...

EK Mounting Plate on Swiftech Apogee XL

This is a rather obscure question that probably won't get an answer, but I figured I would give it a shot anyway: Does anyone happen to know if the EK Supremacy mounting plates (I need to use this one in order to fit my Narrow ILM LGA 2011v3 board.) would fit the Swiftech Apogee XL Water...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

That's about as low as you can get it yeah, but it isn't actually THAT bad of a markup when you add the components together: For example, this is the case they use: Link It's a gorgeous aluminum case, but looks like a pain in the ass to deal with yourself. Might not be the worst premium to...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Oh, forgot to mention this for anyone that is interested: Digital Storm (after some prodding) now has a Bolt 3 configuration with the ASRock x99 Mini Mobo. They managed to get it to work with their 240mm rad (a re-branded h100i it looks like). Link Base price is expensive, but you can remove...

Yikes :/ alright then. Not a big deal I suppose. Thanks for the heads up!

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

This might be a dumb question, but is the included antenna required to get wifi on this mobo? Or does it just improve the range/signal etc?

    Skylake

Woops, I didn't realize the 4790K had an iGPU already haha. Thanks for all the responses guys. New question, gun to your head, 6700K or 5820K with everything else being equal?
  16. T

    Skylake

So this might be a silly question, but would the inclusion of the iGPU on the Skylake K CPU have any detrimental effects that would make the 4790K a better option everything else being equal? Mainly as it relates to temps...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Finally noticed the first signs of it for sale on the web (pre-order in UK): http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asrock-x99e-itx-ac-x99-intel-socket-2011-3-ddr-4-pcie-30-mini-itx

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Yeah you're right, actually should have been obvious from the get-go as most of the waterblocks are all different shapes. This bracket will only support a square waterblock of the following dimensions: 62 x 62 x 36.4 mm So the Cooler Master 120V or 120V plus. None of the other Cooler Master...
  19. T

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

It's just a bit weird, because the ASRock website does not mention the cooler master 120V exclusive compatibility whatsoever in the text or in the video. Both just say "water cooling mounting plate." The ASRock website even says the user "...may choose their desired solution for keeping cool."...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Is the included water-cooling mounting bracket ONLY compatible with the Cooler Master Seidon 120V? Can I use it with a Corsar h100i or other Cooler Master option?

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

OH WOW! Nice find! Don't think that bracket was mentioned in the initial release info. Looks like a much more solid buy now! Other no quad channel for the DDR4, everything else seems solid. Can't wait until reviews comes out.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

5960x might be overkill at 1k, but the 5820 seems like a great buy for some better encoding/streaming/possible dx12 benefits in the not-too distant future. Titan X at 1k seems pricey at first glance, but considering its a single card capable of 60 fps 4k ultra settings on modern games, I'd...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Part of me wants to do just that on this board, but given the lack of AIO cooling options for the narrow ILM and considering the Titan X runs rather hot and loud to begin with on air, I'm rather concerned. But man, being able to stick those components in a Corsair 380t or something and then...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Well, it has the following going for it I guess: -Only DDR4 compatible mITX board (albeit, dual channel) -Only mITX board that can use the i7-5820k/5960x 6/8 core CPUs, which may be more beneficial to gaming when DX12 is released.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Might have to use RAM with short heat-spreaders, and/or move the fans up on the heatsink a bit. Ooo, perhaps close enough to the NH-D14 league to do some decent overclocking? Not too bad on the price, about the same as the Maximus Impact. We should know by end of April whether or...

    Intel Haswell-E Core i7-5960X CPU & X99 Chipset @ [H]

I'm considering going X99 and Haswelk-E because of the supposed DX12 multi-core benefits and the immediate DDR4 availability, but was wondering if somebody could give me a general idea of how the thermals compare to the devil's canyon chips on air. I know these Haswell-E's are 140W chips so I...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

 It's pretty neat for sure. This website refers to rumors of another manufacturer working on the same x99 mini concept, so perhaps we'll even get a standard square ILM mini board from a different manufacturer? Or 4 RAM slots? Meanwhile, back on planet Earth, which of the Noctua...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

This motherboard is actually really appealing to me. Does anybody know of any AIO liquid CPU cooler that would be compatible with the narrow ILM on the board? Or any sort of adapter that can be bought, etc.? Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions.

NVIDIA Unveils The Titan X At GDC 2015

NVIDIA Unveils The Titan X At GDC 2015

They could make it work, via reverse triangular merger or other crafty legal maneuvering. That the license agreement is non-transferable is not 100% impenetrable. All that being said, I seriously doubt anybody is interest in acquiring AMD given current market conditions.
