Watched a special edition night city wire that dropped showing Xbox x and Xbox S footage from the game. Some notes..
1. The textures looked low res. (there is a reason follow along.)
2. The game looked interesting still but just... more cell shaded a feel than I expected.
3. No delay...
Were you around 8 years ago saying the same thing about 4gb of ram?
4 years ago saying the same thing about 6gb of ram?
2 years ago saying the same thing about 8gb of ram....
And so on... Yea sure by the time there are several titles that can use more than 10gb of video memory new cards may...
Man I'm eyeing these Epyc CPU's for Vmware cluster rebuilds. Dual 32 core Epyc's... 128 threads a host... All with only 2 sockets of Vmware licensing. (Edit: per host) MmmmMmmm good.
No but the cost of doing a vsan cluster to maintain redundancy in a medium size deployment is very high and much higher risk. let me Put it to you this way....
Lets say you need just 30 TB of capacity for your SAN and you want it high speed. To get that with a VSAN cluster you will need 6...
Doesn't look bad at all. But the draw distance on grass and such is pretty limited it seems. I noticed some snap in on ground clutter and grass in that video. I wonder if that was specific to that area/scene or what. Otherwise it looked very good. No real reflections done but nice shadows...
You're reading the effect not the cause. They are delaying to fix bugs that would have otherwise trashed their metacricitc scores.
So they are delaying to fix bugs and issues. So that way those bugs and issues don't detract from their metacritic scores.
Time shall tell. Amd is fairly new to being in a leader position. If reviews show they are actually in that position then its incumbent on them to profit from it in a way they as a company culture feel is best. We all know they can snub others if they want. It will be interesting to see...
Lol nobody is saying give it away. Licensing is far from a no profit solution. And it won't be cheap. If you read about it amd is doing this hand in hand with Microsoft.
No it isn't. Games that have dlss work with the Nvidia drivers. There is no hardware dlss running other than api calls to the driver by the games. Your Nvidia card doesn't do ai work unless you have a business card.
Also don't forget that if you are using vsphere there is a practical limit based on the size of your vsphere host that it will reliably support. it isn't a license limit so you can build one larger if needed but we're talking hundreds of hosts and thousands of VM's at that size level. Probably...
VMwares VSAn isn't that great for these types of deployments in my experience. The level of fault tolerance is less and the ability to loose data is in my experience worse. A solid Unity or like attached fiber storage will provide ample performance unless the databases are insanely large/busy.
That is an incorrect statement. If they have a full flash array with sub MS query times and IOP's in the millions or even just hundreds of thousands this is normally just fine for most databases. It all depends on the solution but a blanket that SAN's are less than direct attached SAS drives...
Yea the issue is going to be finding an affordable hypervizor that will work with the hardware you have. Not to mention other needed items... like a USB port card so your GF can have her headset, keyboard, mouse, streaming camera, and other assorted hardware in there. You'll likely want a...
My role is mostly work from home with 1-2 days in the office a week as I see fit. Really if work consolidated and made it so the people that need to be in the office had actual offices as opposed to cubical farms I'd be in the office more. The ability to focus and not have home based...
I say go for it. Ban the useless pieces of human trash that can't be civil. Or at least put them all in the same bucket. Let them go off screaming profanities at eachother and coming up with the worst threats like some kind of competition then swatting eachother. Do the world a favor.
I just want a 3080 competitor on all levels and if it's faster at an equal price point. If its just equal at 50 to 100 bucks less. And I don't mean on paper I mean in real testing.
Amazon alexa devices must have more memory resident than we know.
They can listen for things like...
Fire
Glass break
Home alarms
Fire alarms
The word alexa, computer or other option being spoken...
And even differentiate between a window breaking a drinking glass break.. all locally...
Very few in the enterprise segment buy video cards only. Its a whole server replacement most of the time. Remember for enterprise hardware is the lesser of expenses. Support, and licensing... mostly licensing make up the bulk of thst upgrade spend.
Sorry I was just restating what I gleaned from the article and posted it to share. I don't mean to be a 'person of record'. Just a bit of thought.
How can I give a better example.
When learning how to do something new... logically focused. There are people that see it, get it, and can...
