So I got an r9 290x for cheap and before adding it to my gf's computer I wanted to try some trifire benchmarks
But it seems to stay at 0% load all the time, fans running and temps are showing though.
What could be the cause of this? My other cards are different brand and they are r9 290...
The gimped memory is already an issue in games like Assassin's Creed and even Shadows of Mordor with the high res textures.
I can't believe people are even considering buying that gimped card from a company with blatantly deceptive tactics like this.
I've had two r9 290s for a while, XFX DD ones. They run at about 80c or so on load, vrms don't get too hot unlike some people here experienced (the key is good airflow from the front that isn't blocked by hard drives, or a nice side fan).

Compare 290x and 780ti performance nowadays. 780ti was released 200$ more than 290x.
