    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

Got an email today that my order will be delivered next week Wednesday from my Dutch supplier: http://azerty.nl/0-4298-795193/philips-brilliance-bdm4065uc-led-monitor-40-3840-x-2160-4k-va-300-cd-m2-5000-1-50000000-1-dynamisch-3-ms-2x.html?channel_code=57 Not the quickest, but one of the...

    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

In the Netherlands this monitor is still in back order, but prices between 651 and 700 euro's. Excluding Dutch 21% VAT that is 538-583 euro's or 646-694 USD. Eventually prices should decline to this level internationally. So you don't have to spend $1000+ if you have the patience to wait: I am...

    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

I have to check, but is below 100; I guess between 50 and 70. 100 is too bright for me. So PWM would be on. At home I work and play with a Apple cinema 30", from 2004. Enjoying it every dag. Can't find any where whether this monitor uses PWM. I have no issues with this screen for the last 10...

    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

Just googled the Philips 241P-QPY monitor I have at work and use 9 hours a day without any problems: it has 200hz PWM backlichting: http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/test/2012/test-philips-241p4qpyes-teil10.html. If this works for me at work for 9hrs why not at home?

    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

In the old days with CRT monitors anything above 60hz (70hz, 80hz) was stable to the eyes and did not flicker (60hz did as well as intelaced (30hz)), or do I mis something? Do agree that Philips should have added $100-$150+ to the price and build a PWM free version plus an adjustable stand...

    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

Anyone who owns this monitor now worked or gamed on it for multiple hours: 3 or more? Did you experience headache, fatigue or strain? Which could be due to the PWM? That is the only show stopper for me to buy this monitor.

    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

At the local shop, where I have ordered the BDM4065UC, they offer 'Pixelwaranty' for 50E on this monitor. Is this worthwhile? Is there a reasonable change that on a VA screen, like this BDM4065UC, one or more of the pixals is DOA? Or is it a waste of money and could I better save the 50E to...

    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

With all the theoretical tests about the lay/delay of this monitror, I am really curious too about the actual lag visible in FPS games.

Could the subject of this thread go back to the subject of it: the Philips BDM4065UC. All wild ideas about future monitors DP2.0 and 70": start a new thread about that subject, don't bother visitors interested in the BDM4065UC.

    Philips BDM4065UC - 40" 4K 60Hz monitor thread

elleana: could you test a single player FPS game, to see if the lag is still acceptable for casual single player games? I already pre-ordered this monitor in the Netherlands for 699 euro = 860 USD, including shiping and 21% VAT. I want to use it for working with big spreadsheets, having...
