Good to see someone finally admit that sunlight hitting a matte panel has a more severe impact on readability than sunlight hitting a glossy panel. I don’t know where the myth that matte screens were better in an environment with strong lighting sources, like windows, originated.

I have have two OLED PVMs primarily for desktop use. They are amazing. I don’t care about the risk of burn in. If it ever happened and it bothered me I’d just buy new ones. Monitors are disposable goods.

I second this. I run a 26inch Hitachi TV which also has a native resolution of 1360x768 and it’s super good for my old eyes.

If he is on OSX what is the point of Free-Sync? It costs 100 more than the BenQ and is $350 cheaper than the Samsung. For someone used to an iMac, the HP seems like a fantastic upgrade.

HP have a nice 32 inch monitor with a glossy/ultra-glossy screen if you are used to the iMac. It even comes in white.
