the 2080ti is a 1300€ about $1500 card. .. "Cheap" second hand mmm
a new 3070 can be bought for 700€ new
It this cheap for gaming considering the price graphic card used to me in this segment. im skeptical :)
To be honest I'm not convinced that they are that many gamer able to shelf 500€ / $600 just for a grpx card . Just looking at the steam stats .
If Nvidia manage to sale lots of them to "others" good for them... but do they really ?
I might end up going back to console gaming with current...
What happened to the Graphic card prices ?
6 years ago a GTX970 cost about 300€ and in its time the a 570 that costed about the same (may be 10% less)
But now when I look at to days price on the "70" class 1070/ 2070/ 3070 we are looking at anything between 450 to 620€ for the current...
Just a follow up. I ended up getting a PVA philips 346B1C.
the good
=> there is a noticeable black level difference with my Dells IPS 2414H and UP2516, this is nice.
=> for my workflow (art book editing) I dis not feel the Philips was inappropriate.
=> I really like the body sensor, that switch...
I had been away from a screen for almost two months this summer and since I came back I couldn't stand my IPS monitor anymore, and had been looking to change ever since.
and then ... yesterday I realized... that for an unknown reason my NVIDIA drivers were not outputting a full RGB range but a...
btw i noticed that on both my plasma tv and oled laptop screen , there is in front of the screen some kind of polarization filter (if you direct some light at the screen you'll see a prism color separation.
I read that this increased the contrast .. was this ever used on lcd?
I mean that it's starting to be there in laptop in 13' and 15' .. that it has been there for TV, Phone
But for monitor (24'-34') ... one short lived Dell and one really small and indecently priced Asus. :)
Hi,
I think I'm not the only one looking for "dark black" but may be they are better monitors for black that 5 years ago ?
I'm running with a Dell U2414H and a UP2516D I find the former "ok" and the latter good. for my usage, (casual gaming , photo editing , art book design and finally home...
I can't quite make my mind: I have 2 U2414h and one HDMI only monitor.
I need two independent audio output (one for the HDMI monitor, one on a U2414h)
I could either way go for
a NVIDIA(gtx 750ti for ex) use one HDMI and one DP for the U2414H
and my IGP(for the 2nd audio out to the HDMI...
Brent,
The argument is not so much on the lack of architecture improvement, they are tangible. But in how they do not translate in product placement/segment right now.
in the $250 segment
The R285 does not provide ingame performance gain over the R280 neither does the R285 does not...
Grady
I do feel most R285's reviews were soft with AMD, your attempt to point at the shortcoming of this release with Q&A with Evan Groenke was unfortunately a waste of time as you did not press [H]arder on his non-answers.
Ultimately I believe that unless reviewer start penalize a lot more...
