When I turn sideways on my Philips, I see no flicker. It depends on your personal sensitivity to PWM. I suggest you try it, for now there's no real alternative that has no PWM but offers the same PQ as the Philips, unfortunately.

Sorry, I can't repeat this issue on mine either. So either a settings problem on your PC or defect on your graphics card or monitor

I run at 30% brightness, and do notice darker corners, but not enough to be a bother. As for the stand, it really did bother me so I chucked it and got a seperate VESA mount, which allows adjusting the position in height, tilt and rotation. It only does not allow going to portrait mode ;)

Nice monitor, had one for years. Still uses CCFL backlights. If in good condition (the powerbuttons being a weaker spot, I saw several ones at work going bad) I'd pay $50, no more.

Yeah, I ran over the entire menu and disabled any "automatic" stuff. I always do that on all my devices. So when I read the question I was scratching my head what he was talking about. I never saw it to begin with.:D

it doesn't look 100% glossy, but it's definitely more reflective than my Philips. Pity, the curve looks nice, would work well in desktop use.
