Ive tested my setup using smtt2 and that flatpanel tool is worthless :) On flatpanel i have exactly 30ms of inputlag everytime so it seems that this is vsync problem mentioned and on smtt2 it's fine 5-10ms on that iiyama like in reviews, sometimes a bit more. There is free license on their site...
But can you reach it easily, not mega focused ? I have iiyama xb2783hsu and its really hard to go below 200ms on that monitor and from reviews it has 10-11ms of input lag. On my crt i can go easily below 200 and my average is 184ms on that site, so if you are getting ~175 constantly with that...
Yes and seller even delivered it to me himself in his car :)(same city). The only problem was carrying it with my friend on second floor in a blanket, it's hard to grab and maneuvers those big crts on stairs.
It was like wining on a lottery, sometimes people don't know what they are selling or...
Ridiculously overpriced, that seller is looking for naive person who is willing to pay that price. My DPRO2070sb was the same price except without one zero at the end :) Still working great after 3 years of heavy using 18h a day at 1600x1200@110hz 33654H On and total of 81580 hours :D.
So can someone share this mystical dac and link, i had one that coud do 1600x1200@75hz out of the box but i broke it :) Poor material quality and the weight of thick vga cable just pulled the vga part and left the rest inside hdmi port on gpu xD. It could do even 94 hz with some resolution...
Overshoot is only when overdrive is used, you dont use it on that monitor because its faster without it: first is benq gw2760hs ama high, second philips bdm4065 with SR off.
Why black on that philips is blue ?? Also I wonder how this place in skyrim would look like on philips bdm4065uc, it's reaction times are pretty fast on tftcentral review.
It will occur probably on every va more or less. Its same on my xb2783hsu, if i switch to 50hz, flickering on that webpages while scrolling is less bothering but still visible. That tn on the right isnt much better :)
Nope, dont have time and money atm, besides i can see good with both eyes open and i think its something with eyestrain because it changes daily, better vision on the morning worse at the end of a day.
Any idea why I cant go even lower than 50hz, at 49hz "out of range" ?
In witcher 3 at night...
Screwed like, cant see good in that eye from distance(shortsight). I was using crts for 20 years and no eystarin, problems. Went to led and dry eye syndrom, right eye messed up after 4 month of using it.
Still got MB diamodntron 2070sb 110hz for fast paced games like csgo, ut etc. using this...
It depends on game, you cant expect smooth experience in online games at 50hz. In others like Rise of tomb rider, F4, Witcher 3 it is fine to me. I dont even get 60 fps in them, except Fallout.
Cant tell about eyestrain because my eyes wont tolerate any led display with that damn blue light...
Wow, that second video, how bad is pixel response time there lol. Also on my xb2783hsu I can see that at 50hz OD3 the smearing is less noticeable in dark places in games, even scrolling this forum is better than on 76hz.
If you cant see any ghosting especially in fifa compared to TN, blindness must be your friend or that "5ms" tn of yours is very slow :) These AMVA monitors are ghosting like crazy in fifa when camera pans to action. My friend got iiama tn panel and its way faster than this in that particular...
Damn so none of them flicker, monitor is fine , but still im going to sell it. I was misguided by my crt because on it, nothing is flickering :P.
I wolud try that 27" samsung but only hdmi and vga wtf ...
On my XB2783hsu every test pattern flickers like crazy. Recently i also noticed flickering in movies when camera pans in dark scenes like city view at night.
Should I rma it or wait till it get worse ?
Well mine hdmi to vga adapter can do 1600x1200@75hz out of the box, with tinkering in amd cru it can do max 225Mhz pixel clock with refresh of 96hz on my MB 2070sb.
It costs almost nothing and as for hdfury5 it will probably cost a fortune. Picture quality on that adapter is good, only geometry...
iiyama x2483hsu is ghosting noticeably in games like fifa 16, where camera moves from one side to the other, especially when you play fast ball :) In Issac no red tint and little ghosting compared to fifa which is a ghostingfest on probably all amvas lcds.
I was told in other topic that this...
Overdrive 1,2,3 no difference and it's the opposite of fast moving. Just pan the camera an inch and flickering starts. Tried every input, setttings, gpu, same effect.
There is also this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8Z8rxsTZ0o which is fine on both crt and led.
So as i feared it's a "feature" :/. The only thing is strange to me is that movies are perfect, even in darkest scenes and details, only in games or recorded and watched that pixel respone is killing me.
Oh well going back to my Mitsubishi 2070sb for another 10 years of gaming. That iiyama will...
Does anyone having this strange shimmering in games , mostly in dark places or games on youtube also recorded at night so it's not driver/game fault. Monitor is XB2783HSU, please don't tell me it's a feature of AMVA+.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uqfp35SY2qM
Even Hdfury4 cant handle high res and refresh with ramdac 225Mhz, mine require at least 288 :/.
I can't find what kind of ramdac igpus in intel sandy/ivy are used, only that its internal.
So theoretically it should work if that lucid virtu software can convert digital to analog and send it on...
Find me one that do 1600x1200@100hz, all of them with dac capped at 165mhz or the seller dont even know what specs are.
@down
Well i bought it very cheap 250$, 780 is twice that price here, im runing mitsubishi diamond pro2070sb and the only monitor i could use instead is gdmfw900 :).
I've recently bought 290 which can only do digital signal. I wonder if its possible to use z68 motherboard vga and lucid virtu to connect my crt display.
Can anyone help or know if that would work ?
