Building Mini PC - Need mini-itx motherboard recommendation for 5700G

I would look for a decent B450, MSI had a really good one. If you can still find one for a reasonable price.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Yeah you are right, if it has the narrow mounting might be a problem. The NH-U9DXi4 I linked has both square and narrow mounting.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

5820K is actually socket 2011 v3. The Noctua NH-C14S is compatible and probably the best cooler for the Ncase. There is also the Noctua NH-U9DXi4 which is a 90mm tower cooler and should be similar to the NH-U9S.

    Recommand Me A Case

How many SSDs are you talking about? You can fit a ton in the Sliger, 2 behind the front panel and up to 8 if you get the optional SSD brackets.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I agree, I am not a fan of exhaust out the side but with the peculiar exhaust of the FE it seems to work best. Yes just a 92x25 which you can also get in Chromax, I have one on my NH-L12 GE.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

The best setup I have seen so far is rear fan as intake, NH-U9S blowing toward front of case, 2 bottom intake fans and a 120mm fan on the bracket as exhaust. This way both the CPU and GPU exhaust go out the side and the CPU isn't recycling the hot air from the GPU. I'm running a delidded 8700k...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Max width for GPUs is 140mm at it widest point, the EK block for the TUF is 148mm. You would probably do better with the FE.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

The GPU is only 266mm and Dan A4 can fit 300mm so that leaves you almost 35mm for connectors, should be doable.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

You need either a different mother board or cooler. The MSI has a non standard back plate with 2 additonal cutouts for chips on the back of the board. The backplate used with the L9a would crush those components. So you either need a cooler that uses the included AM4 back plate or a different...

What is the Best Cost No Option Small Form Factor Case for a Silent and Small WC Gaming Powerhouse (3090, etc)

Hard to say on the 3090 atm, PCB is really small so hopefully the water blocks are as well.

What is the Best Cost No Option Small Form Factor Case for a Silent and Small WC Gaming Powerhouse (3090, etc)

Take a look at this video, gives you an idea of what is possible and what is needed for a dual loop in the Ncase.

I delidded my 8700k and it makes a huge difference, makes cooling it much easier in SFF cases. I dropped a full 20C.

Cheaper version of the Kimera Industries Cerberus?

I wasn't talking about boards in stock, I checked Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and Asrock and Asrock is the only one that is actually making a matx x570 board. There are itx boards from Gigabyte, Asus and Asrock.

Cheaper version of the Kimera Industries Cerberus?

Look at x570, AMDs latest chipset and only Asrock even has a matx motherboard and it is mid level at best.

    CCD MI-6: Performance in a 6.7L MIcrotower

Good luck actually finding one of the 2070 itx cards, when Nvidia brought out the Super they discontinued the non Super versions so both the Gigabyte and MSI are impossible to find anymore. MSI has a product page for a RTX 2060 Super Aero itx although I haven't seen it for sale anywhere yet.

Have you tried delidding the CPU? If not makes a huge difference, usually 15 - 20C improvement.

    CCD MI-6: Performance in a 6.7L MIcrotower

The sleeved cables included with the Platinum will be better than the flat cables included with the Gold, you will still have very long cables for the MI-6. I found custom cables just made things so much easier to build in the MI-6.

What are my NCase M1 cooling solutions?

You can only fit a 240mm radiator at the bottom if you are using a GPU with waterblock that is single slot. With a dual slot GPU you only have 25mm.

Noctua NH-L9A is probably still the most popular, add a fan duct for better cooling.

    Thoughts on the TU150?

Lian Li manufacturers both the Ncase and Dan A4.
  33. rfarmer

    Thoughts on the TU150?

It is on the big size for my taste and is definitely a Ncase clone, one thing that is an improvement is the front intake which will help exhaust the GPU heat out the back.

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

They are actually very good, even at load they are very quiet. The Noctua are better, 94,2 m³/h vs 86,29 m³/h and 23,9 dB(A) vs 30,4 dB(A) but until the slim chromax are released these will work fine.

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

Updated the fans on my Ghost, I have a 34mm radiator so was unable to use 25mm fans. I was using Deepcool Gamer Storm 120 x 20mm but there were two problems with them, first was the funky blue color that did not go with my build and second the grill was sitting nearly on top of the fans and I...
