Hello,
I have a bunch of internal ssds. Was trying to format one through diskpart while logged into WIN 10 ssd. I accidentally selected the ssd I was currently logged into in diskpart and typed CLEAN. Obviously you cant wipe the drive youre currently running but I got a weird error, then...
Hello,
Wondering if the Razer blade base model with the 1060 and dual hard drives will support 2400:

Reason being is that the work I do benefits...
No folders are copied, only notepad/text files, installers, pdfs, etc. I already set permissions for full control.
Anyways I just selected everything manually and dragged it over. However I usually run into issues this way, or more space it utilized on the destination drive for no reason...
Sorry but I don't know what to do from here. I changed the file permissions to admin/full control. Everything except actual folders are being copied over.
Found this:
https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/193036-copy-all-files-from-an-old-hard-drive-not-cloning
So would this be correct? N being the location I'm copying to:
robocopy "L:\old" "N:\new" *.* /copyall /R:0 /ZB /V /MIR /TEE /TS /FP /LOG:moved_files.txt /ETA)
I'm copying files from my internal (L) drive to my external (N) so my command is this:
xcopy l:\ n:\ /h/i/c/k/e/r/y
Also tried capitals which I don't think matters anyway.
Hello I've been using xcopy for years with windows 7, I want to copy all contents from an internal HDD to my external HDD. I usually used this guide:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7170683/copy-all-files-and-folders-from-one-drive-to-another-drive-using-dos-command-pr
Now in windows 10...
Some say Healthy partition, others say healthy active partition, primary partition. Doesn't matter since they can all be read except this one newly cleaned and converted SSD.
Also, I have an internal 6tb HDD, reading fine through the sata bay, so it's definitely the LSI. It's flashed to the...
Yes I can see it, it's just not coming up in Devices and drives so I can't access it. It's set to EVO 2 (D). Is it a setting in windows 10?
Lol I almost bricked myself by flashing backwards with Bios, since qflash doesnt work unless you're updating. Good thing this is Dual bios. PHEW! CMOS...
Hello,
I got a LSI 9211 8i with 8 SSDs in regular JBOD mode for simple reading. My OS is GPT windows 10 so I wanted to make everything GPT (for when I eventually upgrade chipsets). It recognizes only the MBR SSDs, any way to change this? I set everything to UEFI in Bios but there's no option...
Got it, I'll just do that I guess. Is there a way to edit the bootloader to make it UEFI compatible? Like through the code or a third party app. Something I read but don't quite understand:
Most Windows 7 DVDs aren't EFI compatible... Make one on your own using the oscdimg.exe tool, which...
No I'm trying to install onto a GPT hard drive, so the ISO/Windows has to be GUID format. The ISO I have is an "all in one", x32 and x64, so when I try to burn the iso with RUFUS onto flash, it forces me to use MBR.
I have another not so good windows 7 ISO that is striclty x64 and not "all in...
Hello,
I have a great copy of windows 7 but it also contains 32x. This doesn't allow me to use the disc on GTP hard drive, I also can't burn to a flash drive using RUFUS unless I select MBR.
Anyway I can take the 64x and just burn that onto my flashdrive?
thanks!
Hello,
Bought an SSD online, I think it's locked in raid mode. When I try to convert to GPT or MBR in diskpart I get "I/O error". I'm only able to clean the disk, but nothing seems to happen even with no error. Same goes for creating a simple volume in disk management - i/o error. The disk...
Ugh thought so, I mean it's not bad if I'm gaming, but this is also a work machine. Everything in device manager and Process window (LatencyMon) looks normal. Even installed nvidia
Hello,
I installed win 10 today on a 3tb 7200 Seagate HDD, but when I ran DPC checker and everything was hovering below yellow in the green, with very few spikes here and there. Also noticed spikes to like 20 when I load chrome, STEAM, or any other apps.
No driver issues, everything is smooth...
Hello,
I have a word hard drive which I don't download or do anything leisure on, but I also have a drive that is strictly for gaming, downloading stuff, porn, etc
Sometimes, I need to access a file, like a pic or installer from the work machine, but windows asks me to share permissions. The...
Seems like that might be the issue, the CD isn't UEFI, probably need a GUID partitian via USB. This isn't a big deal right now I'm just messing around, going to do a ful upgrade in a couple years but I wanted the 3tb for gaming drive.
Yes I can get through now, but this still has nothing to do with GPT. MBR win 7 ssd is disconnected, everything set to legacy in bios, still saying can't be installed on GPT seagate
I can't find this option
tried that, setting everthing to legacy and trying to select CD from bootmenu just ignores my selection and goes straight to windows
I did switch EFI mode: Bios Bios Features - Boot mode selection - UEFI Only, also tried every other option in that section. When I boot in UEFI mode nothing happens, no bootable drive
Realizing that I'm kind of screwed, because my current work drive is MBR, and my seagate is 3tb which can only use GPT to access the whole drive. So maybe I should just wait until projects over on october 2nd. I have to fresh install win 7 anyways and clone the drive for a backup.
But...
Hello,
I recently converted everything from MBR to GPT via diskpart in CMD (except for my current win7 ssd). Everything I've read about MBR and GPT says that GPT is newer and recommended for future compatibility with newer MOBOs. Now when I try to install windows 10 on my 3tb Seagate, I get...
Here's the problem:
-I had a hackintosh
-started formatting everything back to NTFS after leaving hackintosh
-once I uninstalled mac drive, windows 7 would not see the drives that were GPT, only the MBR ssds
-after cleaning then converting the SSDs back to MBR in diskpart, it was time to...
