Z170 board with Intel NIC & AlpineRidge?

Thanks for the pointers! The Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming 7 looks as silly as it's name sounds but I guess functionality is more important than looks ;) I'm currently re-evaluating my plans and thinking about going SFF but for ATX the Gaming 7 looks like a great choice!

Lone Industries L2: Dual slot version of L1 anyone?

Bought an L2 ages ago, finally getting around to actually building in it. My current rig's CPU+RAM+SSD are going to move in, together with some random intel mITX board (old CPU is i7-3770K, finding LGA1155 stuff is getting hard) and a Gigabyte 750Ti. I'm finally going to put that stupid stock...

Z170 board with Intel NIC & AlpineRidge?

For a potential 6700k (probably at a conservative 4.5GHz OC) + (2x?) GTX 1080 build I'm looking for an (ATX or smaller) board that comes with: Intel Wireless Intel NIC Fully enabled Alpine Ridge ( i.e. at least one Type-C USB 3.1/Thunderbolt 3 port on rear IO ) Decent onboard sound, i.e. at...

Lone Industries L2: Dual slot version of L1 anyone?

Wow, that really drives home how small this case is.. I'm really excited for mine right now. Just a bummer that galaxytech's store is down at the moment :( EDIT: Got the case today, looks amazing! It'll be some time before there's a system in it, though

Lone Industries L2: Dual slot version of L1 anyone?

I (and a whole lot of people) had a similar issue with EVGA's ACX-cooler-equipped cards having a 43% minimum, and after some pressuring EVGA released an updated BIOS. Maybe sending a support ticket to Galaxy is worth a try?

Lone Industries L2: Dual slot version of L1 anyone?

Sorry to hear that, hope they get it sorted out quickly :) What's your impression of the Galaxy? What's the cooler like? @HDPlex: It looks a good bit larger than a picoPSU/etc, and then there's also the need for a 24pin cable - how hard would it be to cram this into the L2, and how...

Lone Industries L2: Dual slot version of L1 anyone?

Thanks for the PSU info. Mh, vented sidepanel might be a good idea, if its not too late - what does the upgrade cost?

Lone Industries L2: Dual slot version of L1 anyone?

I was planning on using it with the Galaxy 750Ti slim, but since this was a bit of an impulse buy, that's about as far as my planning went ;) I'd love to try to turn this into a portable gaming rig, but I'm wondering what kind of limits I have to keep in mind (heat? powersupply? space?)

Make that three ;) [Web Order Number: 264] This was 100% an impulse buy xD

Lone Industries L2: Dual slot version of L1 anyone?

The case looks great and I might be interested in a black one, if there are still some left. I'm thinking about a LAN-party machine based on a 750Ti - This would however be my first SFF build (and first "non-straight-forward" build of any kind), so I'm a bit scared to start with something *this*...
