    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

I do indeed run the TV off of the PC at 4K 144hz. Ordered a 32 inch 1440P panel to play around with to put beside this one. Hopefully Nvidia is cool with that display running alongside these two.

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

The color saturation on the Oled is better. Hard to say when it comes to fully objective levels of contrast from a highlights perspective as the 57 inch is just so bright that it makes everything kind of stand out on the display. I really wish that I had been able to test the 57 without the AG...

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

Well it didnt take until Monday. I guess i owe you some pretzels. Its back in the box and the Alienware is back on the desk. The brightness and the utility of the resolution itself aren't enough to keep me from enjoying the insane pixel response times and 240HZ refresh rate. I just need to...

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

So this is actually kind of true. I have not been able to get it running as a 240HZ at all despite pushing it every which way inside of CRU. Disappointing but not unexpected. However I was able to do PBP in a way that is really cool. I am running it effectively as two monitors are far as...

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

It got delayed by a day (from north Vegas to Henderson, so about 15 miles away haha. Its currently sitting in its weird bent giga curved shape on my desk, waiting to be thrown on the bewiser arm. Hang tight and ill post some thoughts over the course of tonight. I don't work until I catch a plane...

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

I am inclined to think this is true after using this monitor in person. Its pretty wild how instantaneous everything feels in motion compared to every other monitor I have ever used.

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

I think it must be a combination, as I was running one of the 55CX models when it first came out to play Cyberpunk and i just dont remember it being this clear. Perhaps my eyes aren't really happy with things until the frame rate is cranked above a certain level or maybe its just the fact its on...

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

So I had ordered this panel and the 57 inch samsung panel to replace three aging FV43U panels to compliment a newer and smaller desk setup. Wow this thing is insane. Not sure if its from the jump from VA or the switch to 240HZ over 144, but the motion clarity is substantially better than...

    Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" 7680x2160 super ultrawide (mini-LED)

Decided to buy one of these and one of the 32 inch Alienware 240HZ panels that just came out. Both should be delivered next week and im curious to see if the praise of OLED over the last few years can really compete with the brightness of Mini LED and how much I have liked it lately...

    LG 48CX

Bought in the 55 after seeing the Costco deal. Was waiting until i could get a 3xxx series card, that still seems like a bloody fantasy to me. If ya'll have any pointers on getting one let me know. I am tempted to buy a whole system I don't need just for the GPU at this point.

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Anyone having issues with coil whine on these? I recently just picked up a great deal on one of these panels (Looks like its the 650 rather than the 850 variant?) and good lord almighty the coil whine is killing me from anywhere in the same room, I know im more sensitive to most when it...

    G-Sync monitors clarification (owners)

Hey man.. so i can give you my opinion.. even though its not the end all be all. I can't tell the difference between G-Sync and Non G-Sync unless its actually in game and starts to chug a bit. I have an ROG Swift and an XL2720T (120HZ) that are both under my desk right now and get tagged in...

    The 2015 Sony TV Thread

Have you looked into flashing the NA firmware on the EU hardware? I can't see how that would effect it negatively, although i can understand why you wouldn't want to do it with your shiny new TV. Good luck bro and i hope they push the NA firmware capability out to you soon.

    The 2015 Sony TV Thread

Buy a really quality HDMI cable and shorten the length. My displays were ALWAYS doing this. Don't use any adaptors, just like.. a 5 foot cable (max) and make sure its really well shielded ect. This will probably fix your artifacting woes.

    The 2015 Sony TV Thread

Weird question. But does anyone know of a bigger size that will do 4k@60 and 1080p@120? I'd prefer 60" or bigger.

So how bad did my impulsiveness screw me up?

I have 3 of the 50 inch versions of these that I run side by side. Great panels if you like 120hz and a big display. Not great if you're a pixel junkie. Install the firmware from the 50 inch version and make a custom resolution of 120hz@1080p before you judge them. Running these screens at 4K is...

    Wasabi Mango UHD600 REAL4K HDMI 2.0

I have a huge dining room table as a desk. I run 3 50 inches. 60 inches is definitely in my "doable" range. Not sure if a confirmed lack of 120hz support at 1080p is though. Might Guinea pig this for the forum.

    HDTV as a PC Monitor < $1000

Honestly if you want to MAINLY use it as a 120HZ display and you want a big one, get the 50 inch Seiki from a year or two ago. Overclocks to 120HZ and doesn't frame skip. I have 3 of them that i use for my setup when i'm not using the ROG Swift and the Benq. They're GREAT panels, and the pixel...

ROG Swift PG348Q Curved Display Unveiled

In for an endless game of waiting with that one.. Pascal might bring DP 1.3 allowing for 4k 120HZ... Acer Predator XR341CK 34" 144Hz Curved Gaming Screen with G-sync

    >At the end user's risk Well thats not very confidence inspiring, considering they're advertising it as a 100HZ panel. Can someone verify that G-Sync is actually working at 100HZ (if it does require an overclock to get that high)

hey! anybody here went from a high resolution to a lower resolution monitor before?

Went from several of LG's ultra wides and a 40" 4k to 1080p. Refresh rate means more to me than pixels these days.

    Acer Z35 200HZ 35 Inch 2000R Ultrawide W/G-Sync

People will continue to move the goal posts when it comes to monitors. 200HZ is a welcome step forward for monitors in general. I know pixel-heads won't appreciate this display. And so does Acer. They aren't marketing it as such. It's balls to the wall fast and I'll be picking one up for...

    Acer Z35 200HZ 35 Inch 2000R Ultrawide W/G-Sync

Really depends on the person. I'm using 3 50 inch panels @ 1080p 120HZ. With scaling at minimum i cannot see individual pixels, but i'm not sitting close to the panels either.

Tek Syndicate HW's Review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPXdOpaNUtg Looks good all around. I didn't actually know that these were capable of 120hz at 1080p.. Anyone know if this functionality extends to the 55 inch model? If so.. im hopping on one immediately.

    Wasabi Mango UHD650 Real4K HDMI 2.0 3D

Did some more looking around... This has displayport as well.. Thats really cool. Makes me think that these are 100% built as monitors in terms of lag (like my old crossover was). Which was completely tolerable. I'm definitely in for one when they poke their heads out on ebay.

    BenQ XR3501: 35" 21:9 2560x1080 144Hz CURVED (Q2 2015)

Most people don't play anything THAT competitively.. and even if they do, they would prefer a 24 inch 144hz panel. Something small where you can eyeball everything without moving your head.. There's also a reason pro's don't use 4k.. they'd rather have 144hz, it affects your ability to...

    Acer XR341CKA 21:9 QHD G-Sync IPS Monitor

I watch every one of his videos. But he seems to highlight color accuracy and panel types and G-Sync/Free Sync. I've never heard him really talk about dropped frames, PWM, or show a UFO test for an "overclocked" monitor. With the G-Sync module almost assuredly giving this panel its 100HZ...

    Acer XR341CKA 21:9 QHD G-Sync IPS Monitor

I wonder if Linus actually tested for dropped frames or if he just got it to post the screen @85hz and assumed it worked. For how long he's been around, I have little faith in his technological understanding of monitors outside of marketing buzzwords.
  35. M

I don't understand how some can play on a large monitor like 27"or more.

I get no sense of immersion from my old ROG swift, nor from the Qnix before that, nor from the XL2720Z before that. The ultrawides were nice but 60HZ really detracts from enjoyment. If i'm playing on a 27 inch (or less, ew) sized panel, its because its league of legends or something...

I don't understand how some can play on a large monitor like 27"or more.

Eh. I use 3 50 inch seikis. They're natively 4k but I run them at 1080p@120hz. I sit about 3 feet away and they're stunning. I also use a retina MacBook Pro, which as far as clean lines go, is much nicer.. But the motion clarity of 120hz on a big panel is much MUCH more appealing to the eyes. (IMO).

    BenQ XR3501: 35" 21:9 2560x1080 144Hz CURVED (Q2 2015)

Question for anyone who has a strong background in using it, is super sampling really the beez knees like stated in the NCIX video? This monitor looks perfect outside of the pixel density, but I'm using 3 50 inch 1080p panels right now, and have no issues.

Dual ROG Swift with 970 SLI

HDMI won't carry a 2560x1440 signal at 144hz. Your GPU isn't compatible with dual ROG swift monitors @native rez and refresh rate, if I had to guess.
