Sounds just like Steam's EULA and every other EULA on planet Earth.
Thanks for keeping us up to date on the latest gamer rage from PC Master Race, cageymaru.
What exactly did EVGA do? Fail to tell the mindless Reddit gamer community to not run a burn-in tool that is infamous for frying GPU power delivery systems?
Just like every other non-controversy the teenage memesters over at PC Master Race cook up, this one will fade into obscurity in a day or two.
No Arilou'Laleelay, no buy.
But seriously though, I hope Stardock doesn't mess this up. Their last few releases were over hyped and mediocre.
To wit, we're all aware that SC2 was open-sourced a while back and you can play it on Windows, Mac and Linux, right?
Just throwing that out there for...
They only sent out C&D letters after being sued. That is the complete opposite of due diligence.
If you erect a fence after your dog bites someone and you're taken to civil court, does that mean you exercised due diligence?
Clonezilla's pretty dope.
What Zepher said.
An seemingly innocuous USB device causing a hang on an image restore or OS installation is more common then people realize. That's really good advice to unplug all USB devices.
Wait. You need to log in to a DRM client and run it in the background for the controller to work?
I cannot imagine the seething gamer rage if the Steam Controller was instead called the EA controller and it required Origin to function.
I would say the new Xbox One controller. But I pretty much...
From what I've gathered from the Steam Controller believers, it's purpose is to bring controller compatibility to the three games on Steam that do not support controllers.
Basically it's one and only job is to allow someone to play Crusader Kings with a controller.
Right-wingers: "Businesses should be allowed to deny service to people based on their beliefs and lifestyle choices."
Liberal VR devs: "We're not going to do business with you."
Right-wingers: "This is outrageous!"
The most pressing issue with Steam reviews is that community voting decides which reviews are shown to the user first. Valve needs to get rid of the Reddit-style upvoting of reviews, as it causes well-written, informative reviews to be more or less hidden from view while one-liners, greentext...
In fact I have. Before I wrote that post, I selected a random game from my library and read its "most helpful" reviews. The game was Metal Gear Solid TPP and all the top reviews were exactly how I described.
Go read them for yourself. Steam users mark the most dank memes and the best le silly...
When did people start taking Steam reviews seriously? Have they ever read a review written by a Steam user?
They're nothing but memes, cinge-inducing attempts at humor and greentext stories written by children who talk in hashtags.
Pretty sad that Steam reviews are affecting PC gaming in such...
PC games typically need user tweaks. It comes with the territory.
I don't see mass rage over CS:GO requiring a console command and an .ini tweak here and there.
The only gripe I have with this game is you have to edit it's .ini to disable mouse acceleration.
It's no surprise that angry teens are flocking to the Steam review system, ranting and whining. They've never had to tweak a PC game in their lives, so instead of opening a file in notepad, they...
Update: make that +225.:(
Still a good card. Still a damn near silent card. Overclockabilty isn't too good on the VRAM side, but OCs are never guaranteed anyway.
Fuck..
MSI Gaming 1070 purchased from Newegg last week. Super satisfied with the card though, wanted something that was inaudible and not afflicted with any coil whine.
But yeah, +250 seems to be the memory OC limit. Any higher and I get graphical corruption.
This is a complete non-story originating from the PC Master Race rage circus. The dev himself even admits it's a faux controversy that some people attempted to turn into an Nvida hate train. If that's not enough, the person who tried to flog this non-story into the mainstream deleted his Reddit...
Can you chill out with the Reddit PC Master Race idiocy please, TaintedSquirrel? I know you're a big Redditor and what not, but most of the stuff you cross-post from that sub is uninformed rage fuel created with only one purpose in mind; to catalyze the Internet Rage Machine and sic angry...
Allow me to explain the difference between smack talk and childish douchebaggery.
Smack talk has three facets:
Personalization: Proper smack talk needs to be custom tailored. A good smack talker will utilize his opponents Steam profile or gaming history to specifically target him. Proper smack...
Blizzard would be foolish to not create an Overwatch full-length animated movie. In my opinion, they'd have to do it in-house rather than outsource the animation and story writing.
The Windows 10 edition that is installed by OEMs and targeted towards typical users (Windows 10 Home) will download and install updates automatically. But the pro version can be configured to only download and install updates at the user's discretion.
If it's a gaming machine you'll be...
Links to cnet downloads should be blacklisted here, and everywhere else, in my opinion.
No self-respecting PC enthusiast would touch that site with a 10-foot SATA cable. Ublock Origin even flags it as a badware distributor
You know, when I saw the virtual reality spaceship chair thing I thought, "Man, AMD really needs to get it's priorities straight". But then I saw the pre-built GAMER XTREME desktop and my faith was restored.
You can tell that desktop PC will be a success because it spells "extreme" with an X...
