The Acer is aimed at professionals too. The B6 series is their range for professionals with anti-glare displays. They just messed up the webpage and are not able to put a decent blabla-sales-pitch site online as BenQ did ;)
You can't find the B6 here on the Acer site...
Yeah, italian distributor got some, my order will be shipped early next week. Too bad monday is a national holiday so I guess will only be shipped on wednesday at earliest...
I think its a different beast. The color accuracy - especially the blue - on the Seiki is not great. I have calibrated it with my SpiderElite but it's still far from perfect. And yes 30 or 60hz does change a lot. I had a 30" Dell WFP that I loved for exactly 2 years. It died 2 weeks after...
I'm really looking forward to see the difference between my Seiki 39" and this new Acer. I mean I already run 4k but only 30Hz and image quality is not that great. Also the "appearance" is just like a bigger 27" 2560, it doesnt look sharper or anything, just bigger :)
Hmm ok, I found this one on amazon.it .. in theory should be ok, unfortunately I can't find any with AWG info on amazon.it - http://www.amazon.it/Startech-Com-Cavo-DisplayPort-Scatto-Nero/dp/B005OOH5ZA/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A11IL2PNWYJU7H
I found the manufactor's site. Should be 30AWG...
How long is the stock cable? Somebody said 100cm, somebody said 5 feet - that would be 150cm. Don't know if I should order a cable in the meantime. 2m would be ideal 1,5m could be enough...
Alright, I found a super offer in an itlaian onlineshop for 830 Euro - maybe a mistake, can't find it priced similar anywhere else. They say it's coming in next days so I pushed the button to secure the price ;)
It does not fit. By "not fit" I mean the holes are on different spots. Of course you can just use different screws and attach the Galant top but the base is totally redesigned. They are not using screws anymore but kind of plastic clips with a second pin to secure it. I was kinda disappointed...
It sure fits somehow, you just have to drill new holes in the galant top. The Bekant frame is not as wide as the galant. Maybe the holes are even on the same spot but I dont think.
I'm probably going to buy a Bekant sit/stand desk tomorrow with a new white top and going to retire my 11 year...
Its not available a few months, just 1-2 weeks and press release is only old about a week.
And always consider european prices € = $ more or less just look at Apple. European prices are with 20% VAT already added...
I'm still running win7 and I dont want to run my 2 other monitors @125% thats a bummer. You say it's "impossible" at 100%? If I'm correct the ppi should be similar to my 15.4" notebook @ 1080p. And that is fine with me, of course you gotta have a distance of 50-60cm max imho
I don't think so. Samsung clearly defines it at 31.5" like the ones from last year and claims to have almost 100% AdobeRGB coverage, whereas the Acer is defined as 32". Also Acer says its 138 ppi, thats what you get when you calculate 32". With 31.5" it's 140ppi. And Acer is not talking about...
Are you using it with scaling? 125-150% ?
May I ask if you could try it at 100%. Is it too small to use, even say if you sit just 50-55cm away from it?
What country is that website :) ?
Its available NOW in germany:
http://www.hartware.de/press_17198.html
"Der neue Monitor ist ab sofort zu einem unverbindlich empfohlenen Endkundenpreis (inkl. MwSt.) von 1.199,90 Euro im Handel erhältlich. "
Where are you ordering from?
There are quite some retailers in germany claiming to have it in stock and they all have 14 days moneyback by law imho

Didn't Eizo announce two 4k Monitors with 32" too? I thought they use that 31.5" panel but maybe they use this one instead...
ahmpf.. it was just one in two colors and yes I guess they use the 31.5 panel...
If my calculations are correct this should be about the same pixel density as a 15.6" notebook display with fullhd 1920x1080. So if you have one or know somebody with that notebook try it out. I for myself have one and altough I have no problem with the notebook I fear that for the distance of a...
Yes I guess its the same panel. I just wonder why nobody has a preview/review/pictures/anything up yet because according to some retailers it's available for next day delivery already for some days now. So wonder why nobody got it and no magazine/review website...
Did anybody hear about this Acer monitor before?
It poppep up in pricecomparsion sites this week and claims to feature a 4k resolution with 60hz and a 32 inch panel.

According to some pricecomparsion sites its...
Well it was unbearable over the speakers but I've found a solution for that via attaching the soundcard over a hub. And yes downtime plus removing all 100 keys and o-rings sux ;)
I'm fine with the soundcard. Its working and I'm not doing any latency critical stuff atm.
RMA is a double pain. Send it in, wait and be weeks w/o the keyboard. And then I've added a dampening o-ring to every key, gotta remove those first, pain in the a** ;)
Yes, when I unplug it the buzzing stops. Using the front usb did not help but attaching the soundcard to the usb-hub of the monitor stopped the buzzing
Hmm maybe I can only hear it because I'm "trained" on that sound now, maybe only some of the keyboards have this problem (found some other treads in da web regarding such a problem with the K70).
BUT.. I just plugged the usb sound card into my monitor and the buzzing over the speaker is gone...
