Also when you say camera, do you mean still pictures sent, or are you wanting a video feed?
A game camera like Dead Parrot mentioned, probably doens't send a video stream, I will just send a few pictures captured with motion.? Especially if it's using cellular data.
I'm sure you could use some of the years spent coming other IT jobs as security experience. I think you can test and if you pass you will get the vet once you meet the job time...? There also is sscp and ceh to look at.
I agree with Infraguard and ISSA.
I think the name was no more room in hell. There are ads that displayed when you were connected to a particular server. I think one of the and ads were malicious. Basically similar to getting a virus or a trojan while browsing websites with compromised ads.
I don't think that CAT6 or CAT7 are needed. I would try it without the router and plug your desktop directly into the modern. The Intel 219 is fine. I would also test speeds between two wired devices on the network to check if the router can handle that too...
There are many different things that could cause your issue. You definitely could have an IT personal from your company look at the issue. Probably not an easy fix.
Good luck!
Looking at your screenshot, the pace device lists a Mac address. You can use a couple of thing to figure out what device that is.
Download angry ip scanner from their website. I would get the legacy (non java) one and use that. You can specify a range of IP addresses to scan. Figure out what...
If it was me, I would return it and get a modem and a router that is separate. You will have better performance and less likely to have some security issues with it. If ARRIS decides to not patch a vulnerability with the hardware you bought, you are stuck with it and have to buy a new modem and...
I don't know if you speeds would be 100Mb, but I had a friend that had a Ubee branded router that was complete crap. After he bought a SB6141 and used a pc with pfSense, he got much faster speeds.
I just love those "We will use Wi-Fi. Who the hell cares about a wired connection...Gross!!" people... lol
I think you will be more than fine to use the Cat6 you have. I also am running 1Gig connections on Cat5 no problem. Those lengths you provided are in spec. I think it might just come down...
Do you have 2 routers? 1 provided by your ISP and the other one is an ASUS one? How do you have both routers connected and what netowrk port is each using?
Let's go with the scenario - When your VPN was working, there were 2 external IP addresses.
The public IP address provided to you by your...
I would not put the switch in the garage. It's more humid and more likely to corrode the PCB and the pins inside the RJ45 jack of the switch, plus it's not climate controlled. I would plan all your cable runs to a closet in your office or something similar. Conduit may make it easier for more...
Do you have an affected device? Have you tried any of the attacks against them yet? Do you know of a website that has details on how to execute the attack? Does the newest patch actually fix the problem? I'm looking to try it on my hardware so I can test it myself to make sure I'm protected. I...
I get the OPs point, he is asking if anyone has done it, and what they thought. He isn't asking if its a good idea or if we think if he should or should not do it. I really doubt that he will find anyone who has done it.
It's not an ideal situation and I don't understand what the VPN gets you...
If you motherboard has the video ports built in, remove the external graphics completely and use the GPU that's in your i7 for a quick test. Does the motherboard have a screen that lists all the voltages on the board from the power supply? Could you post that info?
It's ironic as I was saying to my self.... that model number looks familiar. Sure enough, I have a WS-C3560G-24PS-S that I use at home. I absolutely love it!
When I ran sho ver, this is what I got.
3560G#sho ver
Cisco IOS Software, C3560 Software (C3560-IPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.2(53)SE2...
You could try running a continuous ping from your computer to 8.8.8.8 You can also log the results to a text file for further review or historical comparison.
Open command prompt and type in "ping 8.8.8.8 -t -l 1000 >ping.txt" without the "
the -t makes it continuous
the -l 1000 sets the...
Sounds like the board. How do the caps look? Are any of them bulged on the top or bottom of the cap, or any of them leaking? I think caps can still be bad even after looking good.
I have never seen that before, esp on a consumer board. You might be able to do something similar on a server board that has IPMI without "booting" the system, but not totally sure.
I typically buy stuff around Black Friday. I also don't always get the newest and best tech as of lately. A friend and I both built PCs at the end of 2015. I went with the previous generation i7 at the time a 4790K. I maxed out the mobo with 32GB of DDR3, A 500GB 850 EVO, a GTX 970 and the rest...
Can't Intel's ARK be used to determine whether or not a chipset supports VT-d??
The more important part is whether or not a chipset supports certain features..
In this thread the ASRock H87M Pro4 is showing that it is supported...
However Intel's site...
I have no problems using an ssd for my datastore.
The way I wanted to do the RAID setup is completely separate from ESXI. I will have already built the array and just have ESXI pass the raid card to my server os. So the 2TB limit should not apply right?
Originally I planned on running...
Hello everyone! I have been looking for a server/storage solution for my house for a few years now.
I have used the original Windows Home Server, but since then have moved to just Windows 7 providing CIFS shares to other computers around the house.
I'm wanting to set up an ESXI box to house...
