I've gone from dual 27" 1440p to 34" ultra wide (the dell) for some time now and have been closely watching the 40+ inch 4k tv scene to see if this makes sense. Anyone come from a 34 inch widescreen to one of these setups?
Samsung 840 evo had quite a stumble but their 830 predecessor has been up and running in one of my laptops since that HDD launched several years ago. It has seen heavy usage and still shows up as healthy in magician with no issues whatsoever.
I also picked up an 850 pro and have had no issues...
Their resource hogging companion app aside, I've found their hardware QC to at least be acceptable based on a few Razer mice over the years and the BlackWidow mechanical keyboard lasting a few years with no issues and heavy usage.
