Yes, you'll need an adapter (and splitter) for the fans. You can also just make one from the connector already plugged into the card.
If you don't overclock the card, the thermal tape should be fine.
Been using my M1 build for a year now.
Reference GTX 780 (overclocked) + i5 @ 4ghz (with the biggest Noctua, don't remember the name).
The only thing I'm not completely happy with, is the video card cooling.
While the blower cooler is fairly good, and probably the best out-of-the-box solution...
My system is already assembled. I used the ATX bracket + the adapter that came with the PSU (SS450).
This way I can only have the intake fan facing the CPU cooler, which isn't ideal.
PS. If somebody want to exchange an SFX bracket for my HDD bracket, I would gladly do so.
1. Can I assume this case will work with the CPU socket position on an ASRock Z87E-ITX motherboard + Noctua NH-C14?
2. How quiet can I expect a Silverstone SFX modular to be with a fan swapped for a noiseblocker?
That's the only part I haven't decided yet. Wait for the upcoming 120mm SFXs or...
