Repasted the TIM again, took my time, and now the temps are back at "normal" again.
You're right, it might be that OCCT with linpack and AVX that did make the TIM uneven or something like that. AT least it was when I started...
Have my cpu started dying on me?
Overclocked my 4770k, delided, with Kraken X60 up to 4.4 ghz which needed 1.32 vcore to be stable. The temps were good and topped at around 70 degrees in Prime95.
After this I have been trying to reach 4.6 ghz, and was stable (tested 2-3 hours) stress...
Thanks for you inputs.
One other think that came to mind was instead of removing the HDD bays in the bottom, instead removing the middle HDD bays, and have a 140mm fan blowing directley at the graphic cards from the side. Then I could just remove the fan tilt bracket solution.
But would it be...
Hello.
Have thought about how to set up the fans and the watercooler Kraken X60 radiator in my NZXT Phantom 630 case for best possible airflow.
After reading around and thinking about positive vs negative airflow this is what I have come to:
Does this seem like a decent setup, or...
But if the rear fan is set as intake instead of exhaust, won't that help to pull cold air in under the radiator and pushed out through the top, and still keep a pretty good airflow?
Or will it still be better for the rear fan also to exhaust air aswell, like the radiator in push pull?

As I'm waiting for my NZXT Phantom 630 case to arrive, I was wondering what's the best solution for optimal airflow through the case.
The case have 1 X 200mm fan in front, 1 X 200mm fan on the side, 1 X 140mm fan at the back and I will have 1 X NZXT Kraken X60 water cooler with a 280mm...
Not so worried about the dust and noise, was more temperatures that worried me.
As I'm getting the NZXT Phantom 630 case, with a 200mm side fan blowing air on the cards, and very good airflow in general, will two cards like Gainward GTX 780 windforce X3 keep the temperatures lower than the...
Hello.
I'm about to buy 2 GTX 780 for SLI, and wondering what's the best solution for best temperatures, 2 X reference cards that blows the air out back, or 2 X non-reference cards that have better cooling in general, but blows the air out in the case and have less space between them? For...
Hello everyone.
Have got a problem with my wireless Logitech M505 mouse.
At random times in any game it just fire/attack by itself, without me clicking it.
Most of the times just one shot, but sometimes even a whole round of bullets.
This has happend in several games, so it's not a...
As you mentioned you would go for an air cooler for the cpu.
Here are one of the reviews of the NZXT Karken X60: Theese tests tell that this cooler make the cpu run around 11 degrees cooler than the Coolermaster 212 EVO air cooler on stock clocks. At 4.6ghz it runs 15 (!) degrees cooler at load...

DocSavage: Actually wasn't aware that RAID 1 also doubled read speed, so that is definatley a thing to consider. Read speed is the most important of a system/game disk of course.
Warrior: That sounds reassuring. Then maybe 2 X 256GB SSD in RAID 0 won't be such bad solution:)
2 X 512 would be...
Thank you for great answers, and several of them mead me think a bit. I like that:)
Have now answered the questions you mentioned:
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Mostly gaming in high resolution at good framerates. Store and watch HD movies...
Hello every fellow hardforum enthusiast.
Have been planning to upgrade my gaming rig for some time now, and have read reviews and benchmarks for parts, and visited a couple of forums for inputs and suggestions. That have served me well so far, and helped me find alternative solutions and things...
