I pretty much have the exact same question - tons of articles about the theory behind the tech but not one video or article that says - plug in 2 nics, right click on one - select SMB multichannel, configure IP or anything like that.

The article mentions DX12 for the 980. I didn't see any technical reason the 780 couldn't support DX12.

I spoke with a tech a couple of months ago. He said the expander would add latency. Furthermore on a number of boards they also generate extra heat and use up a slot.

Hello, I was looking at the 9361 and noticed it doesn't come in a 16i or 24i version. They haven't released a new 16i card in ages. The old 16i cards have PCIe 2.0 connections, have only 512MB of cache and old processors on them. I'm considering the adaptec but would prefer a new LSI.
