    As you have stated you are willing to go second hand/eBay, have you considered the Brocade 1020 10GB NICs that were popping up on here? It wouldn't help with the cost of a switch but it would save you a significant amount as they could be had for about $35!

    u should actually be the greek letter mu (μ) as in μATX. Its the scientific standard prefix for micro, hence micro atx. To do this start looking at the datasheets/web pages of the components you want to use. They should all state maximum power draw. Add it all up and you'll see how...
