NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hi All, I'm looking to upgrade my 9 year old system. Been wanting to do a Ncase M1 build since it first came out. I'm not a gamer so not planning to add a water cooler. Looking for a single video card to drive 3 monitors. My current system uses a way outdated Nvidia 460 and 210 cards to...

    M3A2 Beta Project: Discontinued

The biggest advantage of the M3A2 has over its mini-itx competitors is its super-small form factor that can hold a modern video card (2-slot). That should be a major selling point. When you place it against another popular case like the mini-itx BitFenix Prodigy, the Prodigy is absolutely...

    M3A2 Beta Project: Discontinued

In for $20 contribution. :D For those who are getting a case, please upload detail pictures once you've got the case up and running. Since this is beta, I would like to know the tolerance/fit of the components.

    M3A2 Beta Project: Discontinued

Thanks I was googling it and it seems a number of small mini-itx systems have been built and run with 450W sfx power supplies with no issues.

    M3A2 Beta Project: Discontinued

I was just previewing SFX PSes on newegg.com. The biggest one that they have is 450W. Is this gonna be an issue if I get an AMD 7850 GPU? I'm talking about the M3A2 standard.

    M3A2 Beta Project: Discontinued

6lb is nothing. I like that it will have a substantial feel. If the only options for the Mini is TFX or 1U, then it may be better just to have Ultra Mini and Standard. TFX PS don't get bigger than 400Ws. That's borderline for standard 2 slot GPUs.

    M3A2 Beta Project: Discontinued

I actually also mentioned besides standard ATX PS, a full 5.25 optical drive so Elite 120 is still probably the smallest for that configuration. But definitely the M1 is sexier albeit at a higher price. For me to pay the price premium, I would rather go for the smallest size, M3A2. I...

    M3A2 Beta Project: Discontinued

That's interesting. I was looking at Nvidia 660 card on Newegg which stated it needed at least 450W PS. Another one, AMD 7850, requires 500W PS. I assume the numbers vary cuz of other components and the need to have some leeway.

Cancelled my SFF order; want to go smaller.

The thread on the M3A2 case is probably the smallest form factor that can house your setup.

    M3A2 Beta Project: Discontinued

Most decent video cards require 2 slots. Will the M3A2 MINI require a one slot video card? Picture seems to suggest so. Love that super small form factor. Minimum requirements I'm seeking is one hard drive, one SSD, one optical drive, one decent video card. Currently it looks like only the...
