The premise that the trailer presents is exciting. Leading an underground resistance makes for the best tactical and strategic gameplay. See A.I. Fleet War for a great example of that dynamic.
You have to understand how the mobile device market works. Really it operates like all other electronic markets. Even other consumer good markets operate in similar fashion. Low margin but high volume devices have the majority market share after some time has expired. This means ARM...
The math works out in Spotify's favor really. At 10% profit off the 10 USD monthly rate per subscriber, they should be pulling in around 100 million USD yearly, keeping them firmly in the black.
This game was frustratingly difficult for me. Good reminder of the crushing challenges that old school FPS's threw at us. I played on the second hardest difficulty as well.
Crytek, attempting to remain relevant. I was certain they were nothing more than a game engine studio who made games to show case their product, much like Unreal.
Who knows, mayhap this will be a worthwhile competitor in the crowding MOBA genre.
I think Miyazaki is a big reason why Demon's Souls and Dark Souls were so well-regarded. The boss encounters were fairly unique and challenging, and the pacing of both games was well done. There is also enough hidden content to keep you engaged for at least one playthrough.
I find red switches better if you are looking for a gaming and typing compromise. Otherwise, blue switches are best for typing and brown are best for gaming.
Unfortunately, backlit mechanical keyboards tend to carry a price premium as most non-backlit keyboards can be gotten for less than $100...
That could be prevented quite easily though. Imagine a company who lays fiber to lease use of their network to internet providers. The idea is already there with the tiered internet services out there, it is just impeded by government regulation and laws.
Companies are handed licenses to perform business as a monopoly in entire regions by the Federal government. Is it any surprise competition is stifled which causes the service or product offered to be lackluster?
DOTA2 has 1000 hours. CS:GO is closing on that number and I expect it to eclipse it before the end of this year at 900+ hours.
In WoW vanilla I had logged over 14 days worth of play time. Add in time played in Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm and it probably moves closer to 25 days played.
I believe the guys that made Twitch Plays Pokemon are working on something inspired by that experience. Supposedly a game that is influenced by Twitch stream viewers.
Ahh, found it. Here it is: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1451486150/choice-chamber/

This game is great if you are really into building large, complex systems. You start out with a meager automation setup and eventually you will have structures and automation systems spread out over a large area, defended by automated laser turrets...
This cannot be restated enough honestly. Until the big developers begin to branch out into smaller indie style game development for new franchises using new game mechanics, I will not be excited for most AAA titles.
I think it quite telling when private companies are more conservative in the missions they launch into space. Small communication satellites and the like are all that are economically viable at the moment.
They do not need to offer cutting-edge technology or fantastic customer service. Anti-trust laws exist to protect the big players in each of the respective industries. They do not foster or protect competition -- in fact, they do the opposite. Were the government to abolish all economic laws...
Is it reasonable that he continue to be harassed by law enforcement because of a misguided use of technology? How should he go about getting compensated for his time spent with a traffic cop?
The amount of work they are putting into getting the atmosphere and look of the game to match Alien is awesome. Hopefully the game runs and plays like it looks in the dev vlogs.
Intruder is in early access and early alpha builds. The graphics, art and models can be improved over time. Good new is the gameplay appears to already be in a good place.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive while great, is an iterative update to Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source. Enhanced graphics and effects (using its own version of the Source engine), better sound, more updates and a larger community than any of the previous iterations of Counter-Strike...
Awesome. From your brief review (overview?) it sounds like they are bringing a solid entry into the fantasy 4X realm. I will likely grab this closer to its full release.
