I would recommend trying to go for 3 matched screens, this is something you will be staring at everyday for a long time, you want to be happy with it ;)
That said I have run plenty of mis-matched, or very close screens and they can be just fine, but if starting fresh and buying the parts new...
Thanks, updated the lists again, still some things left...
A lot of items in the pending section atm.
All PMs replied to...
(If i somehow missed your message just send me another one)
Wish you were closer I'd give you a killer deal on the chair, needs a little TLC, but is almost like new...
I looked though my parts I had 8GB of RAM that i ran for a few weeks before the 16GB upgrade, I've updated the list for a package deal with the 8GB
[EDIT] i5/RAM/MB Package removed...
OK, Bump, parting out has begun.
Parts are also listed locally I will try and keep the list as updated as I can.
- The 16GB of ram is pending local pickup later this week, but I think I have 8GB of corsair vengeance, that was used for maybe 2-3 weeks before i was given the 16GB upgrade, will...
Yep your correct I'll probably end up parting it out, will net more and that will allow me to keep a few parts and "downgrade" and just sell off some of it. I've had lots of interest on CL but nothing serious no one on CL has that much $, lots of crap offers or I'll give you $100 down and...
Thanks for the comments, I've got a lot of time in putting everything together, I didn't think I would ever be selling it. I'm hoping I can avoid parting it out and sell off everything together...we shall see.
TEMPORARILY CLOSED - 10/11/13

Thanks for all the interest, I'm halting sales to clean up all the pending transactions and may consider keeping some of the left overs now that the bulk is sold...
I'd say it is an interesting concept and nice job getting it done, but that's were i'd stop. With the GPU mounted externally without any protection, and very limited case cooling I'd pass.
If I had the cash to blow to build a mini-itx gaming computer I'd probably just get in line for a...
Newegg's rebates generally come as a pre-paid VISA card that can be used pretty much anywhere. If it's under $10 they will send you a check. Just follow the directions and they are reliable, but expect about a 3 month turn around time.
I just saw this Lian Li case on sale this morning, don't know anything about it but seems like a good buy and after rebate and discounts just under $40;)

Yep, you've got it, I generally select the "instant notification by email" for the frequency.
Works pretty good, especially on projects that aren't updated that often
I'd agree with the comments above the 770 is a nice card and will serve you well if you go that route.
With the price drops and recent sales the 7970 is still a competitive choice give the price.
I've seen sales at ~$300 after rebate and then amazon's $250 used Gigabyte 7970 deal today
How small is mini:confused:
When I think mini I think mini-ITX motherboard.
Many micro ATX boards & cases are near the size of a mid-tower.
If space is a premium the mini-ITX can be built very small, but you'll pay a little more
$500 budget with windows & an i5 or i7 would be tight
Looks good, I've been trying to work up my nerve to cut the front like you did for the fan and the top enough to fit my H100 with push pull fans. Nicely done...now maybe I'll go cut up my 600T also :p
Before I got my 2nd card that is the speed I was running my at 1100/1450, it would hit 1200/1575 on stock voltage. Now with 2 cards I'm back running stock till I get better cooling, that bottom card really dumps a lot of heat into the upper card...
Crysis 3 I've hit 71-72C on my upper card...
Yep, great value especially if you were actually looking at buying the games.
Some Sapphire 7950s are still unlocked voltage and overclock great on stock voltages.
Yep it was a rebate problem, they had 2 $20 rebates listed, but you would have a very slim to no chance at getting the 2nd rebate...otherwise that would have been an awesome deal
Back on topic, tigerdirect has been fine with me. They have improved in the last couple of years, rebates I've had great results with, done a few dozen without issue.
NCIX is also another one worth looking at, bought a few things from them and have been happy.
Yep, I agree just installed one last night, runs quiet and cool, time will tell more but inital impressions are good :D
Didn't have much time to test it out, but was able to max out AMD CCC @ 1200/1575, seemed stable ran furmark and 3dmark 11, no voltage adjustments...need to try some games...
I'd go with the Sapphire
- better cooling 2 fans vs. 1 fan
- XFX core 800/1250 vs Sapphire 850-925/1250
- XFX no BIOS switch vs Sapphire BIOS switch (not 100% sure)
- warranty same for both @ 2 yrs
- ports same for both
Is XFX voltage locking any of there 7950s? I know some of the...
