I love this, terrific design, and its still smaller than the M1.
PS - Still thrilled with my A4, love having it as my HTPC!

Probably because iPhone X performance smokes everything else on the market. Hell, your iPhone 7 Plus is still faster than the best Android flagship right now. Developer support for apps continues to be second to none, even with Google published apps.
I can say for myself after having owned it...
Yup, same. In LA and its been a month since the DHL notices first went out, zero idea where the case is or when it will be shipping out. People seem to be getting shipment notices out of the blue so crossing fingers its soon.
I'm in SoCal and I don't even have mine in Bell Gardens. Its been almost a month since I've gotten my tracking number, really wish I had a better idea how long DHL is going to take
That's good to hear. I see no updated status on the USPS tracking site, for all I can tell its still in Germany waiting to be shipped out. Hopefully it arrives this week
Thanks for the update Dan. You're running a great Kickstarter campaign, way to keep everyone in the loop. Looking forward to receiving my case February-ish!
Yup, had this not been cancelled I would definitely have picked it over the Sentry. As it stands I'll be recieving my Dan Case A4 at the end of the year. Slightly different thing since it stands upright instead of flat but I'll be happy to have it in my home theater. I'd love it if something...
dondan - I had a question regarding custom power cable lengths. I'm looking at picking up a few cables here for a Corsair SF450 PSU: Custom Corsair SF Series Cables
I'd like these to be as short as possible but I also want to make sure I'm not overdoing it with a shorter length. If I can get...
Depends on who you are. Their performance and first target priority from software developers is why I still use them.

Android flagships from this year are on average slower than...
I can't wait to see Anandtech's analysis. According to the GS7 Edge benchmarks the newest Android flagships barely keep up with or are completely outrun by the year-old iPhone 6S, and the 7 is even faster.
Like Apple or hate them but nobody else in mobile can touch their silicon
What are the chipset improvements for Cannonlake? I know that Kaby Lake will have integrated USB 3.1, HDCP 2.2 support, Thunderbolt 3 support, and Optane support. Curious to see what else they can add on top of that.
Yeah, its temporary. Once supply comes back up the prices should go back to where they were before. The fact that we won't be getting our A4s until around the holidays means that there's no rush to overpay for these coolers.
Google shipping a fundamentally broken operating system to carriers who don't provide timely (or any) security updates while users can install applications that haven't been vetted for malware is probably why.
Waiting for Android’s inevitable security Armageddon
Same crap that's been happening...
Yup, its the same reactionary outrage when one caught into flames. The percentage of Tesla vehicles doing this vs standard cars was magnitudes smaller, but hey, what would the internet be without easy clickbait.
The problem with Cerebrus is that mATX isn't much smaller than standard ATX. Only a move to mITX begins to yield a significant difference from ATX cases, otherwise it just isn't enough IMHO.
Congrats on getting funded so quickly! I've been waiting for months to finally back this and I did so the moment I could. I can't wait to get mine later this year!
Cheers Dan!
Its a limited run case using aluminum. Don't expect the same price as a steel case from companies that has shipped hundreds of thousands of cases every year for decades.
I think he's talking about professional cameras. High end motion picture cameras like the Arri Alexa record in ProRes compressed QuickTime .mov. There's a lot QT does that other containers don't, as Xyvotha pointed out. Even if it fades in the consumer space in favor of mp4, it isn't going...
I would love it if this was true but that seems a bit optimistic based on past projects that I've Kickstarted. Unless he's already way ahead on getting tooling and everything ready for production then I'd be betting more towards October if he starts crowdfunding in late April.
Crossing fingers...
Yup, they are a waste of space. Getting the case as close to 7L as possible while accommodating a full size GPU should be the #1 priority.
There are thousands of cases with ODD out there. Don't let one compromise the design of this case.
I agree. The difference between mATX and ATX isn't big enough to warrant a case of that size, the end difference is marginal. ITX is where the real magic happens in terms of size reduction, that and losing the optical drive bay.
What a terrific looking case! I'm torn between this and the NCase, both seem great. Thankfully I won't need to decide until Kaby Lake drops later this year and I rotate my current Haswell/GTX 970 rig into something tiny for the living room.
Hopefully the A4 will be out by then!
3.5mm is ridiculously large in 2015 for essentially 3 analog signal paths.
Painful transition but I get it, the connector is too big for something so limited and lord knows that size reduction is on Apple's roadmap
