Depends on benchmarks. If the top end CPU is equal or close to a 6900K for 60% of the price, seems like a decent deal to me. Also, there's plenty of lower models that we don't know how good they are yet.

This always happens to me, the newly announced stuff gets my upgrade juices flowing, and I'll go out and buy stuff at just the wrong time. I want to wait for Ryzen, Vega, 1080 Ti, but that 7700k and 1080 is sounding good and I lack patience.
