    LG 27EA83

Anyone know details about this monitors sRGB mode? does it restrict color controls or brightness controls or anything like that? I know their is an sRGB version of this monitor, but it doesn't seem to be available in the US.

    Dell U2713HM

Well... it would seem they cant get things right, even on the new revision... Think I'm gonna jump ship to the Viewsonic VP2770. Seems to be a better monitor and not that much more expensive.

    Dell U2713HM

No worries. Thanks for the report.... I might pull the trigger on this... still considering the Viewsonic VP2770.

    Dell U2713HM

@Reiniku, Where did you purchase from? Still with crosshatching or buzzing noise? can we get a mini-review with some pics of the display in a dark room? Cheers!

    Dell U2713HM

Anyone seen any indication that there is a new revision of this monitor? Or that recently manufactured ones have some of the issues fixed? Image retention and severe BLB among them.

    LG 27EA83

For what it's worth, I contacted Newegg.com about the 27ea83, regarding the updated firmware, this was their response as to whether their stock has the new firmware (1.25) or not... ...not very helpful at all.

    LG 27EA83

Can I use an i1 Display Pro with this monitor? Or would I have to use the LG branded calibrator? I ask because I use OS X and don't think I can use the LG Calibration software, as it's not compatible with OS X. This monitor does not have an internal, programmable LUT, am i correct? Also, is...

    Eizo FlexScan EV2736W

NCX, for sure, agreed. Ill be picking up a i1 Display Pro along with whatever monitor i buy. So I'm not super worried about factory settings.

    Eizo FlexScan EV2736W

Pretty sure there is no PWM. As for the stand... yea, That's kind of a bummer... is it VESA compatible? third party stand?

    LG 27EA83

So, 5150Joker, any more thoughts on this monitor? I'm holding out on purchasing anything until I get a solid review on this one (or preferebly the sRGB version of this, the 27EA83R). It's between this and the VP2770 for me.

    Indecisive on 2713H or 2713HM

I'm looking at the Eizo EV2736W, but it's nowhere to be found in the states. I'm leaning towards the Viewsonic VP2770... or waiting for the LG 27EA83R (the sRGB version of the 27EA83, same panel as the Dell U2713HM).

    Eizo FlexScan EV2736W

Anyone know how this compares to the Viewsonic VP2770? It's considerably less expensive, and way easier to find the US. Seems, very similar in specs and probably the same panel.

Any current, viable 27" for Illustration and Design work?

I'm more interested in sRGB than aRGB. Certainly must be an IPS/PLS. I would go for the NEC PA271, despite it being aRGB, but im worried it will be updated fairly soon, am I wrong? (it's like 3 years old) I've also been looking at the HP z2740W, but lack of OSD is a killer. The current...

    Eizo FlexScan EV2736W

Right on. I was hoping for 99% or 100% sRGB. I know it's a small amount, but it can make a difference. I have a Spyder 3 Pro. I assume that will be fine with the monitor? Thanks for the info NCX.

    Eizo FlexScan EV2736W

I'm so close to buying this... I'm just unsure of PLS vs IPS... Can someone sell me on PLS? I'm not gonna use this for games, I'm an illustrator and will use it for design and illustration. I was able to see that it is 100% sRGB from the Korean review. Falconetti, can you confirm this? Also...

    Eizo FlexScan EV2736W

Can anyone confirm what panel this monitor is using? and what the sRGB gamut percent is? I've been waiting months for a decent 27" sRGB display for graphics and illustration work... really wanted the U2713HM, but I'm sick of waiting on the kinks to be worked out. And it seems like there are a...

    Dell U2713H

So, I called Dell about this monitor. I'd really like to purchase it. After a long wait the tech person on the phone confirmed that this monitor's programmable LUT will NOT work on a mac, sadly. Their custom calibration software is Windows only. Anyone have any insight into this? Is he right...
