NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Just checking, where it says Please note: these are V2 panels, and are fully backward compatible with the V1 chassis. However, the V2 top panel is not compatible with the V1 front panel. So this just means that I have to swap both the front and the top if I swap panels on my v1 chassis yeah?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

So I reseated the cooler on my GTX780 eVGA FTW edition and got 90 degrees on furmark. Still it's clearly SLIGHTLY cooler and not throttling as bad as when it was hitting 94. I might just try some slim fans in the bottom to feed air or ducting it and leave it at that. It's not like I'll be using...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I wasn't sure on the thickness of the strips or the grill. I'm sneakily on the forums while at work so I can't just check my bits. Thanks Necere

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Good point on the fan grille. Should I go FAN>BRACKET>GRILL>FILTER or FAN>GRILL>BRACKET>FILTER? My plan was to just glue an unfolded paperclip over the face to give the filter support XD I think I'll try reseating the cooler on my GPU because I tried running it with the panel off and it...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Just built mine after months and months of waiting. Now I have 2 issues, the demci filters rub on the GT fans over my CPU creating an audible sound. I think I have a fix though. The other issue is my EVGA 780 FTW edition is running at 93 degrees C. I tried removing the fans and shroud and...

NCASE M1 version changelog and suggestions thread

Not related to modifications to the unit itself more for the campaign, Panel packs as a perk. PLEASE

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Another vote for panel packs if a new run is done! I'd probably buy 2 whole sets of panels and try painting one set so I still would have a black or silver set to fall back on.

I haven't bought Demiflex's yet as my build isn't happening for 4-6 weeks. I really should get some soon though. Okwchin, you've convinced me I need a funky colour on the plastic of the filters. Maybe yellow for the asus mobo or green for the Nvidia GPU? Maybe red because I like red...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks for that. I picked up the last 3 GT's my work had in stock so once I get my build moving (set back another month!) I'll probably do some testing and see how the temperatures compare and if I can hear any annoying noise. I usually play music though so I doubt it'll bother me. Not sure I'd...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Eep, how? I'm considering Gentle Typhoons (120mm 1850rpm) on mine. Okwchin, have you tested with these? If so how does the C14 perform with 1? With 2?
  11. P

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I thought both fans on the C14 were 140mm with 120mm mounting holes?

And Aussies (particularly East coast) wanna order together for Demciflex filters? Save postage and all.

I don't have the highest opinion of Asrock, I've seen 6 returns of their boards with bent pins out of the box in the last 2 days and (in Australia at least) their warranty policy is woeful.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I was thinking of waiting for the MSI Z87i-GAMING-AC as I have a 5.1 stereo and want to be able to plug it in properly, I want AC wireless and I DON'T want audible hiss over the audio lines (Impact + SS SFX PSU) The other option I'm looking at now is the GA-Z87N-WIFI and a Intel Dual Band...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

2 more weeks of work and I should have the capital to get my build moving. In the mean time I tried to cast some replacement feet but in my haste/exhaustedness/derp I grabbed part A of one resin and part A of another, essentially ruining my mold. The mold was subpar anyway as it turns out these...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I have removed the feet from my case. Friday heralds a day of making a mold of the feet and turning out some test feet. I'm thinking opaque red (can do transparent but I think that'd look silly. Ultimate plan is brass feet for my black m1.

I'm starting to stress badly. I am in Brisbane (one days drive from Sydney) and the cases came into Sydney on like Monday and I still haven't gotten mine yet whereas the ones for WA have arrived already to their owners! WA is around 4 000 kms from Sydney (a bit shy of 2 500 miles) If it doesn't...

Hmm, I've got a whole bunch of silicon and resin downstairs... Maybe I should make a mould of my feet once they get here and make myself some shiny custom ones.

That is some spares cupboard. Be careful with that mobo though! I heard reports of them catching fire/frying! Don't ruin your case or your house or yourself!

I don't suppose there'd be a way to just get an extra set of panels? I'd love to have both a black and silver set so I could change whenever. I have no used for a whole second case.

Nah man, positive pressure is preferred. More air in than out. The hot air will find its own way out but the large intake of fresh cooler air will keep your components cool.

I liked the idea of the M1 as a super (or sub) script on the end of the NCASE NCASEM1 type thing

The NCASE on the front etched I am cool with but I also think the m1 should be removed.

Someone asked that a few pages back I think. Necere responded with concerns over the case being unbalanced and tipping over due to it being a lot smaller than those Lian Li's

That'd also result in the need for some sort of adjustable/changable I/O sheild panel.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Personally I don't mind either way. I think if you guys plan to work together in the future and bring more awesome cases to life then building a brand is important and then that would be your main driving force for a logo on the case.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Fair enough, I'm hopeful that you'll find a solution. You're pretty great at this stuff! And if you can't find that nice balance any other way than this then I'm sure we'll manage. Fair point on the filters. Perhaps you can add a slightly more expensive pledge level to include them? It'd...

Any plans to modify the hole pattern/location to improve this? Also you mentioned custom filters as seen in the pictures. I assume you mean the fan/hdd cage side. Any plans to include a filter for the new vent for if we flip the psu or that'll be on us to source/make?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks Necere! I'll probably see how it runs as it and if it is too hot then look into trying some spacers to duct it or an alternative cooler.

I know there's been a lot of talk about blower type GPU's being optimal but I've recently got a 7870 XT by Sapphire that I'm planning on putting in this case. Necere, you'd have the best idea here. What do you think I should be doing with this card to have it run cool enough in the M1? Here's...

Necere, are you planning on doing an air only thermals test with the Noctua NH-C14 you originally showed us fitting in?
